Looks like at least someone had a good day :p

My grandad tried making Gravy once... it's now sat in the rockery at his house :)

During Xmas dinner and thoughout the evening my uncle, who was on standby for the Local Authority highway services, recieved about 40 Calls throughout the evening in regards to people asking for b-roads and and counry lanes (which are not part of main gritting routes) to be gritted.

By the end of the evening he shallt be known as.... Captain.Gritman.

Do you happen to have a link to mattheman on the locations of fusion reactors? I suspect I'd enjoy that thread.

No fails here, for the first time in years everything was ready to eat at the same time, nothing forgotten or burnt. Astonishing really. An oven which turns itself off must be very inconvenient though

We had a lovely Christmas dinner prepared by my mother in law :)

Heard on Sky news one of the presenters didn't have any room left in her fridge, she decided it was cold enough outside so stored the turkey and sausages out there for the night.

Got up Christmas morning to find a fox had eaten them all :p

Hello I'm new!

Currently in Banff on a ski holiday. Kind of failed to book anywhere to eat tonight.... Safeway closed, Maccas closed and so my Christmas dinner consisted of Kellogs Rice Krispies!

This is the biggest Epic Fail?

:D

I'll never forget the wife forgot to switch the steamer on a few xmas's ago. Roast potatoes and meat sweats all round that year.

Our oven broke down some years ago when I was supposed to be cooking a salmon, so I wrapped it in loads of foil and cooked it on the hottest wash in the dishwasher.

Sorry to all of you who were looking forward to a big blow out meal and then didn't get it. You're welcome to come round ours.........................................

I was chopping the nasty end bit of the turkey legs with a old school chinese chopper knife thing on a tempered glass chopping board.. you know where this is going.

I accidently hit the edge and the board exploded into a million pieces.. was terrifing. The crown was okay, but the legs (mine and brother fav part) was bombarded with glass shards.. The glass was still 'popping' minutes after.
