Normally I would be on the Shiraz too but we got a bottle of Mumm because it was on discount at Waitrose!

Not quite the same, I know. Good to see someone else here who appreciated a great Shiraz though.

My biggest fear with expensive wine is the chances of it being corked. I don't think I'd ever get over it if I managed to cork a £200+ bottle of plonk lol!

I've got some nice bottles of Barolo for tonight. Though we've got some champagne to drink aswell so that should make for an interesting hangover!

Got some 1977 port left over from christmas. My old man bought a case for me when I was born (and yes i still have some bottles left :eek:

Thats an exellent price for such a highly rated wine, choose a French wine that parker rates highly and you could be talking 500+
