I've gone from Colchester to Tewkesbury for RR days before!

I'm hoping I may be able to do a few mods to the VR-4 before then, so it'd be nice to get it on the rollers again (even if it is a tiptronic)

Another thought - there's Eurospec in Guildford, who also have a rolling road - I could enquire as to prices?

If everyone that is suggesting a place to go gives the places a call and asks what sort of price they can do for a Sat morning running 10-20 cars and what they offer, just runs, & printouts, & BBQ, etc. then we can get a good idea as to where is a good one to go. ;)

Also means probably get that person to do the organising. :D :p

It was going to be getting on for more than the car was worth to sort out the engine and other issues I had with it, making it not financially worth while. Look at how much work you did on the 325i...I had more work than that to do if I wanted to make sure it stayed on the road, quite a few hundred £ worth of work, not financially worth it especially when low on money anyway.

I've just sent a message to the guys at Eurospec, so will see what they reply with (I included what Powerstation give/charge, so they can see whether they can beat it ;))

If it goes ahead at Eurospec I wouldn't mind running the Megabusa if there is space fairly local to me :D

Not read all the thread so apologies if it has been previously mentioned :p

The Surrey Rolling Road is good for me too :D

I have read back through a few pages and someone previously mentioned having North/South RR days.

If that was to happen at over a couple of different weekends people would have the choice to go to one or the other (or both).

I will throw my name in the hat and say I will try and get the ball rolling and organise a Southern one if there is enough interest.

RR days have always been the one event for everyone so it would be a shame to lose that. Most of us dont actually care about the RR bit anyway :p

There is that, there is also the fact that it's hard enough getting numbers for a RR as it is without splitting the people in half. :p

Right, I've had a reply back from Eurospec, the details are as follows:

Eurospec said:
It would run as follows: bring in car, check oils, tyres etc. For turbo cars fit det monitoring equipment.

set up on dyno, 3 power runs, then print outs from the best of the three. That is £35 cash.

We provide free tea, coffee, biccies, coke/diet etc all day, and if the club want it, a trophy for the highest bhp on the day.

If you are here over lunchtime we can get pizza in, which we subsidise.

The other deal we do is complete use of the dyno, us, our tools, software etc, for £550 + vat. For that you get 10 hrs dyno time which you can split up as you wish between participants. If you are just doing power runs this means anything beyond the 17th car is 'Free'.

We would also do an improved deal for a series booking- eg if you booked a number of days with us, we would discount our prices further.

So - for the same price as Powerstation, each car gets 3 runs (rather than just the one), food & drink, and they actually check the basic condition of the cars first, rather than just "drive on, run once, drive off".

Also, for turbo'd cars, the advantage of having proper monitoring equipment set up!

I am thinking of also booking a RR day for my own club, so if I incorporated that into a "block booking" of days, I could make it cheaper for us (OcUK) to have RR day(s) by utilising my other club/forum into the booking.

Any thoughts? Sound like a good idea?
