Does anyone else find this woman uttely odious with a frightening ignorance of real problems and issues that face the UK ?

War, poverty, recession, Afghanistan, social issues ..... the list goes on for problems that warrant attention and effort and she fannies on over ageism.

I truly hope she is the first Labour MP dumped on her arse at the next General Election.

Thoughts ?
 
She is a horrible person.

My politics are left wing but people like her, and others within the Labour Party, have made think about never voting again. Whats the point?
 
As much as I agree she is a few sandwiches short of a picnip, when it comes to keeping a low profile and not making herself look even worse she isn't the best, but I fail to believe she has actually done anything worse than say a sentence here.

Ms Harman told the BBC's World This Weekend female newsreaders had to be 10 years younger than male equivalents.
She said: "It's essentially an old-fashioned attitude that thinks you can't value the experience and wisdom of an older woman."

Just sounds to me, like shes wasting her breath rather than her time on this!
I also think it would be a bright move for any party to ask her to close the door on her way out.

Slow news day? I do love the way the BBC produces articles on themselves, genius.

Bah, I was going to point out that you managed to mess up the link but now you've sorted that I guess I'll have to comment on the story. :p

It does seem like a rather pointless frippery, I don't quite share the same level of oppobrium for Mrs Harman but I'm fairly sure there are more important issues that deserve attention at the moment. If the BBC are being ageist and it can be proven, rather than a casual aside by an unnamed senior figure, then by all means they should be taken to task over it as the practice is not legitimate.
 
The BBC won’t give her a job as a newsreader when she losses her seat. Nor will anybody else, that’s for sure. Shame that her coming motoring offence prosecution doesn’t carry a spell in prison if found guilty.
 
ffs I'd vote labour if Browns only policy was to have her fired out of a cannon into France.
 
Harriet Harman is a vile person, she's more interested in bigging up women's rights than doing her own job properly. In reality she's doing more towards ruining other female MPs' chances of being in the cabinet.

Yes, let's reduce news presenters to the same level as porn ? Latest murder not interesting you ? Well at least you can get a thrill by looking at the pretty newsreader.

Sorry, but when an essential component for the selection of news readers (or reporters) is that they are pretty it says something rather sick about the media and perhaps society in general. :mad:
 
That picture annoys me so much, its not helmand province. Police wear them to do their job. Was she wearing that for effect and experience or actual fear?

She's a feminist. Worse still she's a socialist feminist. Worse than that she's a militant socialist feminist, which is worse than being a Taliban groupie :D
 
i'm sure there was a news or weather thing on in the middle of the night (most likely channel 5) where they read the news/weather and stripped as they went :)

She is completely out of touch with reality, like most politicians and people in the media.
