PC for a 1000 pounds?

If you really want to spend £1000 and really want a near silent computer I would consider buying a SSD. I might have been unlucky but even HDDs considered extremely quiet are the loudest components in my not incredibly quiet computer.

Okay... uhmmm but I think it will be hard to get them all togetherin the case... Never tried it before... What about an alredy builded sytem by overclockers?

Uhmm I think I'm going to order a setup home, and then try it out on my IBM monitor, if I'm not satisfied I might buy that screen, yes.

But still, wouldn't you think and ATI card would be better, since they can be upraded to direct 11 ?

EDIT:
Maby I should go ask about this in the gfx section?

I'm presuming you mean 'upgraded' and the answer is no, they can't be upgraded to directX 11 because all the 5xxx series cards are already DX11 capable.
All you need is nothing more than a £600 system for it to do what you want; either an i5 build or Phenom build would suit you fine.

Yeah bJN, Direct 11 now or what ever, I gues you're right ^^
But as I said before I allso want a system that can run a long time without any expansive upgrades....
But as I also said I might consider buying that intel / amd set for 700£

But Chiiives link looks nice too + it's prebuild so I don't have to do anything, or worry about anything :P

Okay, have almost made up my mind:
I think I want to buy one of the following:
The "Titan Goliath" - with ATI 5770x2
Or
The "Ultima Vanquish" - with ATI 5770x1

What do you think would be best?

Just buy the damn computer lol. Either will more than meet your needs for gaming and you'll be one happy chappy.

Direct X 11 cards right now probably won't be that great for games that push direct X 11. I'd wait until theres a good amount of games that use direct X 11 well. Don't get a gfx card just because it as direct X 11 support.

direct X eleven

#33 Well that did not answer my question, and I can't see whats wrong with the fact that I just want to be sure before spending my money on it?....

I kinda did answer your question. It doesn't matter which one you buy, you'll be able to play every game out today. Its your choice really.

the op wants the best pc he can get for £1000, a cheaper pc may play the games he plays at the moment but he might want to play something more powerful at some point. personally i'd get a 5870 with a phenom ii or i5 setup - whatever keeps it near £1000. if the prices are similar i'd go i5.
