My office is freezing cold!!!!!

My office is freezing cold. Everyone is complaining. 9°C inside and the minimum temperature should be apparently 16°C but I don't see we are going home anytime soon.

:mad::mad::mad:
Instead of complaining on an internet forum, tell your company you're going home.

Work outside like real men, working in an Office has turned you into women, only they whine about being cold.

Since we have had about 5-7 heaters on for the last few hours our office is much better now (one near my legs so I am not cold anymore), about 15°C-16°C but I went to the warehouse that is below our office and they have a different story in there.

It looks like their heating system broke down so no extra warm air from anywhere, since they have a big gates open most of the time and the warehouse space is quite big they have freezing temperatures in there and everyone is moaning but no action is being taken, warehouse manager called in sick today, the managing director is off today, account manager told them they can go home but won't get paid etc so no one wants to leave.

The management here is truly shocking when it comes to dealing with emergencies like this.

I can only be sorry for my colleges working in the warehouse :( and others that have no personal heater :(

It's different, I feel colder inside when I'm sat down than when I'm outside moving about a lot.

I would get the manager down and definitely get something out of it for yourself at the very least.

I hate people like you that go to the rule books with stupid stuff like this ¬_¬'

"It's 9 degrees in here, and it's meant to be 16 degrees minimum! Best go home"

Please... grow a pair ¬_¬'

In the next few days or so my office(The cab of my truck and excavator) will be soaring into the 50 degree zone =/

I love cold weather :(

I dislike people like you who feel it's perfectly acceptable to be used as the proverbial doormat largely for someone else’s benefit.

It’s not an unreasonable request to be comfortable at work which is why the "rule book" is there.

You should value yourself a bit more.

Please... grow a pair.

If you're sick of being cold in an office you're going to do that fella, need ammo to support the problem don't you?

Our office is always cold in the winter, and roasting in the summer.

It's a converted barn with single glazed windows and doors.. very breezey!

Ours was 7 degrees this morning! We are now up to 14 degrees thats with two little heaters blasting out all morning. I'm taking £40 from the company today to go buy an oil filled radiator on the way home for tomorrow! :)

My college class was freezing in the morning. But then I turned the climate control to 30°c. And now it's too hot so I'm going to set it to 20°c.

It's great because I shouldn't even be in college on Mondays.

Was freezing this morning but has warmed up slightly... nevertheless there is a guy in my office with his fan on... if he's hot now I can't imagine what he's going to be like in the Summer!

Did not want to get out of bed this morning!

There is always a bloke in the office with a fan on, where ever you work.

I work from home but I am reluctant to put the heating on, as I don't want a big bill to come through and make my housemates split it, considering as I am the only one in the house most of the time. So I am sat in bed in my boyfriends massive hoody and jogging bottoms. Quiet toasty now,

Basic statutory rights for the employer to provide a bareable working atmosphere, it might be at their discretion but you should be able to go home but keeping a standard day, i.e getting paid.

I definetley wouldn't sit around in the cold inside.
