Best bad news from the doctor ever

I had a bit of 'luck' recently like that;

Went to the hospital to have my wisdom teeth out, sat in the chair with glasses, the bibs, head wrap etc on.
Surgeon puts the mirror in my gob just to have one last check before he jabs the needle in to numb my gum
(yes i was having it done under local anesthetic :eek:) and says "you want to have this done or not?"

'Am... Am I dreaming!?' I thought.

Turns out that my teeth had been debated around the maxillofacial clinic for months.
My teeth MIGHT one day give me problems but it was such a tenuous precaution the surgeon didn't want to do it.
He said I look after my teeth really well so might not even have problems in the future.
Also being borderline to NHS guidelines he said if something went wrong he wouldn't be able to stand up in court and say that it was the correct thing to do with 100% certainty.

Grabbed my coat and was like BAI. *runs*

So i go in to get my blood test results he says "Everything is good, there's no issues with your clotting system although (at this point i thought i had aids) your iron levels seem abit low but no where near anemic try and eat more veg"

so i now get free pass to be a alcoholic on Guinness i think so ;)

also cool story bro

Sorry to poo in your cornflakes, but the iron content of Guiness is relatively low :(

Ant :cool:

Glad you don't have aids mate. It's so bad having to wait 6 months not knowing if you have HIV/HBV/HCV, possibly being infections (so no sex/bloody contact), just waiting for the antibodies to become detectable. :(

In the vast majority of cases its 3 months before antibodies are formed.
