PC Overclock Outside in the snow

Has anyones overclocked pc in outside in the snow ? Was wondering what the temperature is like on full linx stress for higher overclock at 4.4Ghz ?

I think it need to put pc tower inside the plastic bag and put inside the cardboard and leave on the ground with snow on it. I think it need a waterproof electricity cable to go through the house window (little open)!

I had open all 13 windows this morning with central heating off. It was very cold and freezing. I did check my overclock 4.2Ghz with idle at 13C, 11C, 12C, 10C and full stress with linx at 37C, 35C, 36C, 34C!

Room temperature is 2C !
 
When i used to live in northern sweden, i used to with my old air cooling well more like just have it outside on a table, on the balconay was cold enough over there did'nt need to bother with the snow lmao.

Overcloclomg in zub zero outside temps was fun, needed a few beers though lol.
 
always wanted to know this! can u try it for me? we wont all laugh when you pc dies cus of condensation.
 
I had a thought the other day about this with a twist for a WC rig.

Drill 2 holes in your outside wall though and thread some hoses through, mount a large rad on the wall outside covered by a little box like a letterbox with some vent holes and attach the hoses.

Come colder weather, drain your WC loop, connect the external rad pipes and refill once tested for leaks.

Insta chilled pc, the vented surround around the rad prevents rain and snow from harming the rad and keeps the rad a little warmer than just being outside open to elements but it offers a lot better cooling.

Would need to keep pc on 24/7 in cold weather though to prevent icing / condensation

Or just protect your stuff with the neoprene stuff the extreme lot use when doing sub ambient.

Iv been wanting to do that idea myself but im sure my landlord would kill me if he saw a rad on the outside of the house lmao.

If you put a computer in a freezer, you break the freezer.

I wouldn't run a computer in snow for fear of damaging it. However if I lived somewhere more convenient a radiator outside would probably happen. Put it in a bucket, fill the bucket with snow. Pipes running to computer much like Hybrid suggests.
 
Never seen anyone running a pc outside tbh, though i wouldnt mind trying my case up on the desk close, to an open window to see what difference it would make.
 
You'd have been better running it earlier in the week before it snowed.. it was much colder!

There were a few pictures floating around a while back of an asian overclocking site with rads hanging out of windows and such.

The thought of having a customised beer cooler in your bed room with Rad inside it sounds awesome! Can help yourself to cans of beers every now and then when you are gaming or watching a film too ;)
