Finichi Firenze Sport Alloys... Yes or no?

OZ are good too

and then there's the tuners: Hamann, Hartge, Breyton...
AC Schnitzer, although they can be a bit *****

have a look on here and see if there's anything that takes your fancy

Saw that site earlier but there's too many to browse safely at work, will give it a proper gander when I get home. From a quick glance though I really like these:
1
2
3
4

EDIT:
Why bother with new alloys if you are changing cars in a year?

Still not sure if I'm gonna "change" cars or buy another one keeping my 325 as a run around, too many choices...

well 1 and 3 u can defintely rule out. because 1 is £785 per wheel and 3 doesnt have BMW fitment. You can rule out any multi piece BBS rim i think due to the price.

so youre set on getting 18s then?

mm, those BBS RRs are amazing..
but yes, i think £2400 for 4 without tyres might be slightly over budget :D

as nice as those Ultraleggeras are, i think they're a bit too spindly for the E46
spindly spokes look ridiculous when you have tiny (stock) discs behind them

Perhaps I'm getting old, but changing wheels because they look nice can turn out to be an expensive luxury in my opinion... If the new wheels allowed me to fit better brakes or were significantly lighter than the old wheels then I can see reasoning, but if it was for looks alone I'd think twice before dropping £1k+ on a set of rims.

I'm not saying don't do it, but consider what else you can get for the cash. :)

Realised I ain't actually got no photo's of my car other than the ones from the add

Took some this morning though... although I don't see how they're gonna help me see how it would look properly :(

If anyone is any good with photoshop, would you mind shopping on these BBS CH's so I could see how they look?

I can't find any face on pics of the Finichi Firenze Sports though so I doubt they could photoshop on alright.

Cheers

Ooooh that red and black looks too sexy!! You think black and black is going to be a bit dull? That's why I was thinking of getting some with chrome lips/buttons, so it offests it a bit...

Damn that M3 looks slick!

You really think it would ruin it? I know it won't conform to the typical stock looks of every other BMW out there which is kind of the reason I'm considering the change but I don't quite get your stance of it being ruined.

I don't want my car to look like everyone elses, I want to customise it to my taste. I don't want to "chav it up" I just want it to stand out, so it's mine and not the same as every other M-Sport.

What's so bad about aftermarket rims? My only concern is with quality, which is why if I spend enough on a decent brand I assume it will be as good as OEM.

Yes, because you want to fit some cheap aftermarket wheels with a chrome lip to it.

Then why do this, every E46 you see in places like Birmingham are black with tinted windows and black alloys :(

What's so bad about aftermarket rims?

Nothing, if you get the right ones. Which it doesn't seem like you are going to do. It's a quality car and needs quality wheels, if you want to chav it up buy a Saxo :(

Cheap?! I didn't think 1.3k for rims was exactly cheap... although they aren't in the top end bracket I admit. I like the chrome lip contrasting with the black, I'm not really keen on having silver alloys anymore which is why I was thinking black or anthracite as previously suggested.

Thankfully I don't live in brum, round my ends everyone has a stock setup which is why I want mine to look different. The rude boys down here all upgrade tot eh sport wheels or to those nasty looking chrome ones.

I don't want to chav it up, I wanted something different which is why I'm asking for opinions, do you have any suggestions of a set of shoes which would look nice for the budget I'm willing to spend (I could got to 2k if they're worth it)? Or am I limiting my options of good sets with only the 2k?

Ignoring the stuff on Ebay most sets of mediocre rims for Focus's etc etc run to about £1k-£1.3k in 19" with tyres. Oz rims with proper rubber are certainly more than that and BBS rims are at least double that IIRC without tyres.

The problem with BMW stuff, I find it myself, is that not doing something properly results in it looking cack but doing it properly can be eyewateringly expensive :(

Dang, so you reckon I need to up my budget? I would be willing to pay the price for these but then again you would class them as chavy 'cause of the chrome rim, but then going for this style is also appealing and quite a chunk cheaper.

I don't know whether I should fork out for the expensive ones I prefer or to settle for the cheaper ones just because of the price. I mean I still like the plain black ones, but I think the chrome ones would look superb. Dilemma...

I think any BBS, OZ etc wheels are fine, they're lightweight and a quality product. The question is whether they suit the car. What I would do is avoid the likes of Wolfrace, TSW, Lenso etc

Exactly. It either looks perfects, or looks utter turd. Unfortunately there is a lot more out there which looks utter turd, than perfect on an E46.

Just leave it standard - it looks great as it is.

Only just opened this thread to have a look, first impression of those alloys are... gash! Do not get them mate, they truely look awful.

i cant think what other makes would be worth fitting other than OZ or BBS without getting silly expensive.

For example, HRE do lovely forged monoblock wheels looks great on a BMW
