olv i looooooove that shot... I almost want to pshop some "twilight" stars to the top left, so it kinda looks like you a good few thousand feet up and the ozone is really thin.

I shot in raw so sharpened it a little in Lightroom and resized. Seem to remember cropping a little off the sky too. Changed the colour temp ever so slightly to get rid of some of the light polution from the horizon.

Yeah I used a linear polarizer.

Thanks, not a huge amount of processing due to the polarizer. Basically just increased the contrast.

Cheers, quite a good idea with the stars though, might have to give that a try

Generally overexposed by 1, but then adjusted in UFRAW. I seem to have lost some quality in the pics on here.

Should have captured the treetops I think.

Trying out some backlighting.

Not a single flower in sight, so had to settle on this:

Personally; I think I prefer the original, kind of goes against the rule of thirds or a traditional composition, but there is something about the empty white space at the bottom really works for me.

I do think the white snow is welcoming in the original but there was something that was bugging me.

I actually think the original has a Chrismas/winter card feel to it as well.

I went for a walk yesterday, since I couldn't get the car out of my road. I took the opportunity to take some more photos. And take in some of the beautiful Worcestershire country side I am blessed with but probably take for granted too often.
