My xmas eve knife encounter

What's his colour got to do with it, unless you're generalising his actions to make a derogatory statement about a particular race in general? This sort of aggressive and threatening behaviour is unfortunately all too common in certain people of all races.
I'm afraid to say it's much more prevalent in certain races round here. Can't see how it's a derogatory statement when you start to generalise based on your observations.

Amazingly when I moved away from an area with racially varying problems my racism disappeared as well. It's almost like if you're not around to see it you'll never be able to make racist genralisations.

Good to see a bit of generalisation is more of a important that the OP getting threatened with a knife:rolleyes:

and you didn't phone the police while you were stuck behind him and give registration details. As much as that is a rubbish situation. to not inform the police is disgusting. Next time he might kill someone.

How our issues meant to be dealt with when people don't report it. Then everyone moanes nothing happen.

Interesting that even though he doesn't even say what colour he is, or what colour the idiot was, everyone automatically knows what he meant. Stereotypes might be bad, but they exist because of a reason. And in this case that reason is black people, or more specifically "ethnic minorities", are statistically more likely to commit a crime like this than a white person. Facts don't lie. That doesn't make someone racist.

As for the OP, lucky escape there by the sounds of it! I'd have called the cops.

Well black people do make up for most of the knife crime it is a fact.

Considering that black people only make up 2% of the population yet are responsible for over half of the knife crime in this country just goes to show how bad it really is.

"Over half of young knife suspects are black, Scotland Yard figures reveal"

For the sake of completeness, I spotted the mistake in the OP:

I pip at him and gesticulate

Why did you do that? What were you hoping to achieve? What did you expect them to respond to that with?

You just came up against someone more alpha than you. Deal with it.

Sure, but what to what purpose did the OP even need to mention race/ethnicity?

Why should he NOT mention it? Do you not like to hear the facts? Are you scared of the truth?

The OP did the right thing, no point in escalating the situation with that savage who clearly was not of a sound mind. At the end of the day the only thing that got hurt was his pride.

You should be asking yourself why you have to put up with this sort of behaviour in your country.
