Paypal are stealing off me?

Call bank and say "SOMEONE STOLEN MA MONEH"

If that fails send them a letter post, recorded deliver.

The only reason your bank is powerless is because there would be a direct debit agreement. Go to your online banking and view your DD/Standing Orders, and cancel the paypal one.

Dear Martin Robson,

Thank you for contacting PayPal.

I checked your account and it shows that you added your visa debit card
ending in xx19.

There is a possibility that the amount of £2.50 is a temporary
authorisation that we charged from your card which will be refunded within
3-5 working days or a maximum of 30 days.

Thank you for choosing PayPal.

Hmm, I'm getting somewhere..

em im sure i read a thread of yours over at a popular Sheffield computer retailer forum a while back where you closed your paypal account over a graphics card you sold, and the bloke sounded like he was trying to scam you?.
I guess you lost the disagreement then?

You probably did.

And I decided to just do what was right, the buyer got his money back fine.
The debt came from when Paypal gave him his 178 pound from my none existent account (Which I've paid back).

Sounds like another paypal money making scam. Take some money out of someones account, hold it for a few week then give it back. Times this by 100,000 people and watch the interest pile up.

They borrow small amounts off lots of people and keep the interest.

Ive had issues with Paypal before where they take money for no reason. Then eventualy they refunded 5 days later. Why do they do this? how can they do this? SCAM is there business model! I do actually hate Paypal. but you will get it sorted eventualy.

I had an error once with a Paypal transaction, basically the website crashed and the process wasn't completed, however Paypal debited my account £186. The goods never got paid for and the transaction never showed up in Paypal account.
I basically had to wait 5 working days to get the funds back. The funny thinkg is the money doesn't actually go anywhere, your bank just reserves it for Paypal to claim. After a certain time if it's not claimed it will drop back into your bank. Of course Paypal can help speed the return of the funds up by providing an authorisation code which you can present to your bank but in my experience this never happens.

I had an issue with the evil setanta company. (I believe in baby Jesus now, because he answered my prayers and made them go bust).

My bank also refused to help so I shut the bank account down and went elsewhere. Setanta, after much arguing gave up in the end and accepted I cancelled months ago.

Having rang Paypal, they said they can't see any transaction.
WHAT DO THEY NOT UNDERSTAND?!
There is NO transaction, money is just being removed..

Now I've got to wait a few days for my Halifax bank statement to update to show the 12.50 being removed.

Wonderful..
