Sapphire 5850s

well i spoke to the lady who delivered my stuff, she said dpd as a whole are so busy due to the weather and stuff so i hope you get yours tooo

Yeah I called up at 10 because my goods normally are out for delivery at 9 and delivered to me at 10 but they said that there were a lot of packages and a lot of vans going out so mine should be in the 11am batch which it is. So just have to wait now.
 
got mine today! :D

Was delayed due to another part of order not being in warehouse (although it read as in-stock).Friendly helpful service to sort that out via webnotes (& got the latest price too).

All in all, well impressed OCUK ;)
 
Hey guys, My extra sap 5850 arrived just installed it... My gawd the fps increase on crysis....4+aa 30fps before. everything maxed out 8+AA 65fps. outside! dont know about inside yet, must be atleast 80

Guys just wondering.. i did 3dMark 06 run... and it came out the same 22k as a single 5850? eh? dunt understand. in games the fps has shot up but not on 3dmark. was expectig to get atleast 26k+

just tried crysis indoors... iam just speechless 120 in small rooms 80-90 big rooms 70fps herioc fighting in doors seriously. O_O

I guess running bad company 2 when it comes out its gunna run like a dream.

I really want to get another 5850 now for xfire :( I've run out of space for xfire though.

primary pcie x16 used by 5850
pci slot 1 is covered by the 5850 (had to remove sound card :mad:)
pcie slot x8 is a light bit covered by the 5850
pci slot 2 is used by a wireless adapter
pcie x8 2 is free
pcie x16 2 is used by a XFX 8800GT for PHYSX and CUDA

No space for a 5850 now.

Eh? 8800GT? didnt know you could do that? what kind of benifits do you get running a ATI card then the nvidia physx and cuda from?

So i could run 5850 slot 1, 5850 slot 2, and a 8800GT slot 3 for phyxs? would it make any diff? if so... i might get 1 lol :) ive just sold my old 2x8800Gt 's damn :( And... i might need another PSU as mine is only corsair 650w.

Yes you can do exactly that, it's a new patch released which allows you to.
I think you may need 750-850w for that.
