Driving in snow

Woking/Guildford is covered, A3 is closed and there's a jackkinifed lorry somewhere about near me apparently.

3 inches in the last 3-4 hours.

My place of work (school) is open though but my boss phoned me and told me not to bother coming in.

Kill them

Good idea. I may well do that next time. Will you come and help me buff out the scuffs and the blood? :D

I thought you were South East B'ham (Solihill) for some reason?

Halesowen for me, took me an hour and 15 but I've made it. 3 people in the office out of 10 so far :p

No, Rubery actually, so pretty close to you then, I never mention it specifically, I always say Bromsgrove as no one has ever heard of Rubery, I imagine you will know it though.

Anyone seen a bin man? Living in the middle of nowhere has its disadvantages!

I've just been taking mine out in the car with me & slinging it out the window whilst I do handbrake turns & drive flat out everywhere.

I live in the middle of town and I aint seen a bin man either.

Neither have my parents or grannykins. Recycling guys came yesterday so fingers crossed for next week. They won't empty if the bins overflowing and I'm already using another non-wheelie bin for overflow so I'm gonna have to take a trip to the tip myself.

I should have said my bin was emptied Yesterday, Hinckley bin men are made of Tougher stuff.

Are you lot not embarrassed to have such Gay bin men ?

Maybe they're not coming becasue we don't hand around in our doorways wearing a dressing gown. Maybe its in fact your bin men that are gay :p

Then again, if the bin lid looks like it's 1mm open they won't bloody empty it.

Another inch or so here. Took me an hour to get to work because people were driving needlessly slowly and there's roadworks :(

I'm bored of the snow now. Dry warm weather please kthxbai

My binmen are hardcore who have the attitude of 'i don't give a ****, so i'll empty your ****** bin and throw the lids half way across your courtyard' type of attitude.

If he cannot get his car out of his drive how does he go to get winter tyres fitted? :p

Chains :)

I just think the whole idea of gritting roads so much that you can drive as normal is a waste of time - spend less on making the vehicles drive better in the conditions and we'd all cope a lot better.

Need snow ploughs though, I'm not having a silly noddy car with 2 foot clearance.

And bin men - gah, I understand they don't want to slide that thing, it'd take out a house, but it's becoming a bit much now, I've had to take mine to the dump myself it's so bad.

Wonder how much a few of these on the trucks would cost:
