How have your road surfaces fared with the freeze?

Which car parts can be claimed for by pot hole damage?

Can wheel bearings be claimed on? Or is it just tyres..

Around here in Sunderland they aint too bad tbh. But up next to my gf's in north tyne side they are a mess in places. It seems to be the newly resurfaced roads that have suffered the most.

Ruddy awful round here. The roads they've spent a few milltion patching up over the last couple of years have potholes all over them. Those that were properly surfaced are fine. Hopefully this will break the council out of the habit of sticking a bit of tar then some finde chippings on the A roads and calling it resurfaced.

Now it's warmed up my F1 GSD3s grip again, i just hope they survive the potholes!

Saw a pothole big enough to eat one of my wheels in Liverpool today, and I mean completely eat the wheel, would have fitted in on its side nicely.

Slightly O/T but maybe someone can answer this.
Why is it the council resurface some roads more frequently than others.
I think it's purely down to what else the council spends its money on. On the borderline from Lewisham to Bromley council there's a bump, it all goes quiet in the car and the road surface is much smoother.

But then if you look at what the two boroughs have to spend their money on Lewisham has high unemployment, large numbers of immigrants, large amounts of graffiti and vandalism to clean up, unnecessary traffic calming measures, street crime, young 'chav' single mothers, youth schemes (which basically means problem kids on the streets with nothing to do) and overcrowded hospitals with long waiting lists. Bromley is a bigger borough with slightly lower council tax, it's largely middle class, few problems like Lewisham and all the services are better including the roads.

Derby is covered in pot holes, covered.

For Derby folk: Down Ascot Drive there is a very bad one opposite the Arriva bus depot so watch out.

Im on coilovers and low profile tyres and god i felt it, pulled over to check the wheel:eek:

A429 from Warwick to Cirencester hasn't done well at all. Huge potholes of appeared both in warwickshire and glos so will be interesting to see which council gets them sorted first.

They were repairing a really awful one on a horrible blind corner between norwich and dereham via wymondham today, glad to see it gone

Burton on trent / swadlincote are a mess, about 6 cases of water mains bursting, and post holes are massive, but there is road works about every 500 yards on the A511 atm.

Need to get my tax disc out again, I WILL PAY MY ROAD TAX WHEN YOU FIX THE ROADS.
