I can't say I have seen a single hacker! I'm going to play now, I guess I'll keep a look out.

He can try and report you all he wants. Pretty sure Valves response to any hacker reports is 'VAC will take care of them', whether it will or not is another question. Someone cheating because with the only evidence a good score is laughable really without any proof.
As soon as the news came out about iwnet, I cancelled my preorder. I got given the game as a gift for fixing someone's laptop when I refused payment and you know what? The game is fantastic! IWnet works very well considering it's p2p. In my 4 and a half days game time I have seen 2 aimbots. I just left and searched for another game. I win 9 games out of 10 so if people ARE using wallhacks and such that I don't notice then they're not using them very well
You get cheaters in every online game, the people that cheat are usually the dunces that can't play the game so rather that it giving them an advantage over skilled players it only brings them up to average level, and if it's something obvious and overpowered like aimbot then everybody can see that they're cheating.
You could also say that the people mindlessly bad mouthing the game without having played it were sheep too, I wouldn't because that would be needlessly insulting.
In short I have seen hundreds and hundreds of hackers on cod 4, yes they get kicked from a good server, but I have only seen 2 on cod 6, leave the game, join another one, done.
Never thought I would stick up for cod 6 but there is a lot of guff being talked about it by people who obviously don't know what they're talking about. Lots of exaggeration going on.
*hugs MW1 and TF2*I refuse to support a developer who changes an already sound and working system to something that offers no advantages over the old one, that leaves you at a disadvantage.
the game is **** multiwise . cod 4 is way way way better but..........
amount of hackers in cod 4 compared to this is like a ice berg and a pinhead in size . cod 4 is the ultimate hackfest.
like thorpy has said we did know we did buy it .the cod series for me is done basically and i just await a game that will take me to fresh waters like when the original came out.
vac wont do nothing to save this game and neither will dedicated servers if they add them which i think they will in end just to rape in some more money
in short the cod series has evolved into a shoebox shooter that is unoriginal and full of nabness.

ah be quiet. I knew the online system wasn't going to be great but I still wanted to play it because I really enjoyed mw1. I had not anticipate it being this bad however.
I enjoyed MW2 sp a lot more than MW1 sp and I am happy I bought MW2 because of that.

There was on reason to change to no dedicated servers. The reason they did give was a joke. A 'streamlined experience' my arse. Most servers on CoD4 ran the exact same thing, maybe just a different map rotation and you know what? If i wanted to play a 24/7 Broadcast server (which is what i ended up doing before i quit the game having had enough of Punkbuster not working properly) then i had the option to.
I'm sorry but there even if the game can be enjoyable i refuse to give them the sale for such a poor excuse of a game. The killstreak combo's in the first were annoying and they made them worse. I played MW a lot so i know what it has to live up to and the game is just a huge failure. If i wanted a Modern Warfare experience i'd still choose MW over MW2 any day.

Modern Warfare 2 could have been a brilliant game both online and single player.

This tbh, only game I play currently, much better than L4D2
This is the problem when games are played by geeks, they can't resist fiddling to show how 'kewl' they are....dude. My talent knows no starts when it comes to online shooters but I love a BF2 blat now and again. However, when I stand there and open up an entire rocket onto a bloke and he simply kills me with a pistol, or shoots me from 10 miles away with a pea shooter because he has some bloody cheet added I get bored.

I still don't get why L4D & L4D2 have such a rampant following. Especially on these forums. Okay, so I'm **** at it, but the map selection is a bit boring and custom maps are an annoyance to me. It just seems that Valve have made two empty shells of games and are solely relying on the community to prolong the life of them. I don't want to go too off topic though because this is a thread about MW2 after all.
As for knowing what the game would be like before buying it, I do agree to an extent but as Robert says, I don't think anyone could envisage it being this bad. I mean, COD4 on the 360 was great, this is terrible, even worse on PC. Not to mention a single player that remains short in time span but still manages to feel like it's dragging on. The best part of this game is the Spec Ops mode.
Oh? I suppose Dirt2 is better than MW2 is it? Oh wait... they're completely different styles of game.
Only thing L4D2 and MW2 have in common is the guns. If you like instant respawns and ramboing in a dumbed down console gamer experience then sure, pick MW2. If you want something that actually involves tactics, teamwork and competitive play then you pick L4D2.
At the end of the day, whatever your preference between L4D2 and MW2, its between MW2 and MW that counts and frankly, MW2 fails at everything other than being newer compared with MW.

I have to agree that CoD2 MP was the start of my frustration with this game (I hated that) and the CoD:MW while being a brilliant SP game really turned into an unpleasant spam-fest very quickly, and having seen WaW and MW2 (but not played it) its unlikely I'll ever support this franchise again.
