Nothing wrong with going prone, the problem is how BF2 implemented it and their flawed hitboxes.

Yep snipers are going to have trouble staying hidden. Also prone is essential if your hiding on a roof top. Now there's no where to hide.

or me! i think its a real shame theres no prone. its great that theres gonna be no dolphin diving, but as has been said, no prone will surely affect the sniper and support class quite considerably. i suppose we'll just have to wait and see how it changes the gameplay. im not getting all worked up over it however, hopefully it will be a cracking game!

Not really, if africa harbour is anything to go by the maps are so big and theres so many buildings for snipers to hide in that the snipers wont really have problems with prone being removed.

You played the beta map africa harbour? Theres lots of places to hide, prone or no prone.

You don't get the Beta with the Game version I don't think - you get some early unlocks instead.
