So the USA donated 100million in aid.....awee so nice.

But it donates 3billion a year in aid to isreal......

You see whats happening hear....not on the news was it.
 
He is effectively boasting about giving. IMO, it's not something to be boasted about, and somewhat shameful that he's using the situation as means to further his pro-atheist views.

I know plenty of non-Christians who are more than happy to give aid and not have to turn it into religion based tit-for-tat.

However, we should all still give what we can. These people are in utter dire straits. :(

so because he has done this he is boasting? this in effect means christian aid and the others are too then?

It is aimed more at the american market rather than the UK, a counter to some of the general arguments from the religous right with regards to those dirty atheists (about as bad as commies after all).
 
Well organisations have been set up in the name of Christianity... why not the other way around?

You hear it all the time '<name>, a Christian organisation did this, did that' etc

I'm finding it a bit weird how people are calling Richard Dawkins a tool also... are you getting him confused with someone else?

Dawkins in behaving like the religions he so despises shocker? Sounds like a normal day then...

I don't agree with any group, no matter what their stance, using disasters to push their beliefs.

While I can't comment for anyone else, personally I dislike fundamentalists of all beliefs, Dawkins isn't worthy of special dislike in that regard...

Have you ever met the guy?

He's insufferable. I loved him back in the day (selfish gene etc) but now he's a prophet in his own eyes.
