Pronounce this surname.

As a Froggy I'd say "boo-shay" - as it's a French name meaning "Butcher"

However, the chap's likely to be British and just has an ancestor of Frog, as such I'd agree that "Bow-Cher" is possibly more sensible. However there's no harm in asking him something along the lines of "Just so I don't make a mistake, how do I pronounce your name Bow-cher or Boo-Shay?". It happens a lot to some of my friends with unusual names. :)

Rather than going in guns blazing with one pronounciation I'd suggest that asking is perfectly acceptable. :) However, it's your call, after all you're dealing with the person and probably able to gauge what they're like.

Captain Insane-o shows no mercy.

This one time, I was with my momma and coach klein at the same time.

Good advice. :)

I thought it was pronounced "Boo-shay" but his first name is unequivocally English so I'd bet it's pronounced "Bow-sher". I'll just have to ask him I suppose! :)

...I'm not quite sure how to say this...

Why don't you just ask? It's not rude or stupid to check how a surname should be pronounced. (unless it's smith etc)

I would have pronounced it boochay. Best bet is asking though. You'll look worse if you get it wrong than if you simply ask.

...

and sonya (but that's probably wrong).
