Medic is the way forward for me also, I find you can just live for so long. Team up with a decent assault and you melt faces, I think I have like 30 assists a game a few days ago just healing an assault! Also once you start getting poison aura and grenade you really start dealing some damage also.

Roll on release date!
 
Anyone else slightly reminded off Lost Planet? Especially on Max Security missions with big mechs as bosses. (Just wish they had the weak points like LP! :D)

Some insane bosses on Max Sec, also some easy ones. Still not liking the insane burst damage from some encounters - there's nothing I can do about if the attacks aren't avoided 100%.

Not impressed with healing medic scores in PvP either, got 21 assists with a assault (no one in DooM, random pub) yesterday defending a point. He ended up on ~380 I got ~190 :( He wouldn't have been able to achieve any of those kills without me, why should he get 80% of the reward?

Can't wait for release & AvA, gonna be sweeeet.
 
That's what it reminds me of also LP! I agree with you 100% about the medic scores. Not being funny the Assault like you said wouldn't do as well with out a medic healing him all the time... While you get people with huge scores 600-800 I'm sat there with 300 :/
 
well booted it up maxed the details and ran through the training, didn't realise I could add new toys to the toobar as I levelled up !! doh !!

going to try out the different classes and do some missions, soon as I work out wtf I'm doing :p
 
Haha, you should join us eek mate, makes life easier being in an agency to pick up some people. Also vent is a great help. Yea its basically as you level you get a skill point every other level and a new device/gun inbetween the skill points!

We should be trying some AvA tonight!
 
Love it !!! went Robotic as I was always the turret monkey for my old Tribes 2 clan :D , with a medic and another Robotic defending a capture point its insane fun !!

Once I get to grips with the in's and out's it would be great to team up with some OcUK'ers , see you on the battle field ]8-
 
I'm having a real problem trying to get any kind of match, PvP or PvE with same level players and it's seriously having an impact on the enjoyment factor :( . I'm aware there is an option to only join games with near same level but no matter how long you wait they never start ! any tips or is that feature not implemented yet ?
 
Never even knew that option existed mate, haven't had a problem with higher level players tbh. There isn't as much difference as in a traditional mmo, I think the devs have done a pretty good job of giving new players a fighting chance.

I noticed were in an alliance now :) how did that come about chk4? Also, are we trying for some AvA tonight?

what level are you might I ask ? only we just had a map were a few lvl 28+ enemies were outside the spawn area just mowing us noobies down with no way to fight back. Obviously this might just happen infrequently but it's still a viable problem new players can face. I'm aware you can setup up teleports inside the base area to other places but if thats destroyed everyones cream-crackered !!

think it's time to try a few different classes and just hope for a break in the punishment ;)
 
I'm only level 13 as I don't want to play too much in beta but I've never experienced that kind of base camping, even when my teams been completely dominated. I'm sure it does happen but I'd say its pretty infrequent. I've always felt competitive from day one, which is one of the things I really like about GA - even doing relatively small things feels like your helping your team.
 
Really enjoying it at the moment :) I've got to level 8 (almost level 9 :))

But I'm now thinking of maybe not playing until release because on release date all beta characters will be deleted and it'd be a shame to lose a high level character and have to start over again :p
