what gun? depends on the maps aswell,i mean say for striker,id use fmj if your playing something like wasteland where you might not be as close to people,but for skidrow ect i wouldnt,id use extended mags.That goes for any shotty,but if its rifle, i like not having to reload, more then having more damage.If you pick your shots and dont rush you wont need extended mags,i just use scavenger and get loads of ammo lol.

1887 patch put forward for approval. Ranged decreased.

And the care package glitch done too. Normal running speed.

Looks like the cheaters are going to have to play fair

Two weeks and it should be patched!

Finally unlocked the ACR this morning and love it. I've also discovered the shot gun <3 since I no longer have to have a stinger with me at all times (thanks cold blooded pro). Sod the rest of them, if they're stupid enough to be chopper fodder more fool them. Although when I play with mates, I do tend to try and complement the team play style.

Loving CTF at the moment as well, there are just so many ways to play it, defensive, all out attack, or if you just want to be a thorn in the side of the other team then just mill around in the middle of the map killing all you see.

Still finding my play style to be honest, my best k/s is 14 so I'll never be nuking anyone, I'm currently using predator, harrier and emergency supply drop.

(Got very annoyed at emergency supply drop earlier, got up to it, ran into a clearing on underpass and called it in, not realising there was a huge bridge above me, thus meaning I was never going to get the goodies, que lots of swearing and stomping.)

Anybody else love FAL for an alternative to sniper rifles? The lack of recoil is brilliant, use it with thermal and a silencer and bling pro, coldblooded pro and ninja pro, makes you an invisible killing machine, so much fun.
 
Watch out for that negative xp glitch thats going around. It resets your rank to 1. According to that article above. Its just like those unlimited ammo glitches so id stay away from public matches until its fixed.



We’ve updated the PC version of Modern Warfare 2, including the following fixes:

- Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
- Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
- Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
- Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and ‘elevators’.
- Mouse latency tweaks for more mouse movement consistency. (PC-ONLY)
- Fixes to prevent various texture (PC-ONLY) and XP hacks, including the prevention of obtaining negative XP.

These fixes, excluding the ones I’ve labeled as (PC-ONLY), are currently in test for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions as well. Before you ask why there is a delay from PC to consoles, it’s because we can update IW-NET directly and therefore the fastest. The console versions require additional testing through their respective manufacturers.

Surely it's just console side though? And can be reset by restarting your console ?
 
meh, is the cold blooded rank up a glitch ie someone shoot a pavelow and you blits it as much as possible or is that supposed to be part of the game?
 
So yet again a new patch is announced and some glitches are just being ignored. It's getting boring now, IW are taking the ****!!

AGH this is ****ing ridiculous, why dont my team ever shoot down air support yet whenever I manage to get some it gets shot down instantly!!! :mad:

Edit : Still in 3 year warranty, woop, now I've gotta hope they'll take my "dodgy" warranty sticker which looks like it's been peeled back, but it hasn't, honest! ;)

It just means people can run around really quick without stopping, turning them into stabbing machines. It gets annoying because its quite unbalanced (IMO anyway), since I've known people teleport across entire rooms to knife people thanks to the commando perk.

Thanks i tried this tonight and its great fun :D i was having a little war between another guy on the opposite side .... easy to rack up the kills allthough i can see it getting boring rather quickly

back to my gun me thinks :)
