we are actually watching BTVS start to end at the moment after watching Angel back to back last year (finished the last one on 23rd Dec)

Personally thought the fourth series of Angel was the slackest... Five starts very badly (gearing up for something much bigger. then tightens up very quickly, making you almost hate the lead character which is awesome) shame it got cut short :(

Thats because they they dropped Angel half way through Season 5 and Sky One had to offer money to get them to finish it (or something along those lines).
 
I'm a grown man, and therefore have no interest in Buffy.

Consequently, I would have no idea whether or not Television Without Pity has in depth discussion, comment and summary on a variety of TV shows, including BtVS.

Sorry I couldn't be of any help.

Hence the 'shame it got canned' in the first sentence :P

I liked the fact that they didn't fart around making a happy fluffy tie up all loose ends conclusion, and just said yep, then everyone gets killed doing something really really ambtious (probably)

I think that really enhanced the ending of the series quite a lot.
 
I did hear in a interview from the shows creators that the end of Angel was meant to show what the show was about "the triumph to supreme odds" which is why a lot of people feel that they surived... well I am guessing some did.. Possibly Angel, Spike and the Demon/Fred...

I did hear that spike was going to have his own spin off show, but they changed their mind last second, and Faith's own show because Eliza decided to persue Tru Calling (which fell over pretty quickly as a show)
 
i liked the end of angel.. ok i would prefer it to have kept on going but to go down fighting was a very cool way to end it ... much better than a goody two shoes the goodguys win and live happily ever after ending

ps.. did anyone else think Illyria (fred as a demon chick) was hot :)
 
Oh yeah... I also spotted in a mates SFX mad that Lorne, Fred and someone else was going to be at a convention in may at heathrow...

She was very cute and i almost cried when she copped it... Well sorta... But she was faaaaar to skinny... Cordy for the win!

Goddamit Buffy is amazing! Finished watching both shows 2 weeks ago (for the first time), absolutely loved it. Angel was much weaker (not generally, just my opinion), but the fifth season was great and almost as good as Buffy.

Favourite season is probably fifth, but I love them all.Favourite episodes - Hush, The Body, Once more with Feeling, Conversations with dead people, The Gift..

I watched around 40 shows to completion, and this one is by far the best : ).

"I Will Remember You" actually made me cry a little at the end. :(
And "Once More, With Feeling" is my favourite episode, even though I preferred Angel as a series.
