No Armin Van Buuren? cant beleive you missed that legend out! I've seen Tiesto, PVD and Armin live and PVD is a stuck up ****, who wouldnt even give a lass song, just finished his poor mix and left. Tiesto is brilliant as a mixer but his production isnt too fetchy for me, espec the way hes going with his new stuff.. Although I do love his in search for sunrise cd's. Armin just tops it off, his whole set live sent tingles and shivvers down my whole body, for most of the night I was in pure euphoria. His albums and production is second to none and I love pretty much everything from his label.
few great artists that you've missed out in terms of trance would be
John O'Callagan
Sunlounger
Gareth Emery
Sean Tyas
Rank 1
Marco V
Ive been using livesetsonline for quite a lot of years, has brought me many a set to blast out in the car on a bright sunny day. Was best in the times of hard dance/house, Then I started to listen to hardstyle way before it catched on here with everyone else, and by the time it got here, I got into it because I knew it, but its just been to commercialised.
Live sets is brill for recent and old sets, and you can even get tracked cd's off there sometimes
Eddie Halliwell is a pleb end who just loves himself and plays with the mixer FAR too much. He was brough to fame with the help of a local dance event I used to go to (good greef) and every year he'd make a 'come back' event which would al;ways be packed and crap.. hes just too electroey and as I said, thinks hes that great everyone wants to hear him **** around with a mixer rather than listen to some tunes. I agree with tidy, Seen them 4/5 times and every set is the same. Great first time, maybe second but after that it gets annoying. I think they hammered heavens cry wayyyyyyyyyy too much! and the fact once when I seen them they wernt even mixing but playing a cd from what I could gather!
nail on head.
if you want things a bit more breakbeat then anything from the stanton warriors is worth a listen. theyve got a couple albums including a fabriclive, otherwise look for recorded live sets on your fav (legal of course..) download place.
I have a few cd's of stanton warriors and also plump dj's. I prefer justice / boyz noize when it comes to break beats, annie mac used to put on some great breaks sets, havnt been into that for some time though
