*** Official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Thread ***

Jeebus, just checked my stats, played 8 days on the character screen but the stats screen says 11 days, that's 3 days of waiting in lobbies and the like.
 
I feel a bit burned out, haven't played much the last few days, went to play some tonight, had one boring slow game and the next I got knifed by some guy miles away and he didn't even warp towards me, this was after I had blasted him with a spas, I rage quit and didn't play anymore, watched kill point instead.
 
i was addicted to this a couple days ago,i couldnt stop playing it.Then tonight i just couldnt be bothered,lobbys were taking ages and i am tired of playing Dom or TDM.
 
Not kept up to date with the thread and only have about 8 hours play, but...

WTF is the the uber cannons?! (shotguns!) These seem way over powered.

I watched a kill back where a guy fired at me from a resonable distance (dead on), no damage, one step closer, again no damage, one more step, insta-death?! There seems to be a point at which anything outside is nothing, and anything inside is death!

Also as simon mentioned, last stand. If I stick some C4 to your ass, there should be no last stand! There should be no arms, legs or head! Nevermind a last stand!
 
Just discovered Hardcore Team Deathmatch.

It.Is.Awesome! :D

Players actually play with a little strategy ive found, no sprinting around knifing or akimbo shotguns!

My trouble is I generally hit reload when someone goes down, then I realise they're in last stand then Oneshot shoves me out of the way and finishes them off before I finish reloading ;)
 
I wish they'd sort out spawn points when killstreaks are in the air.I'm not even moaning about for me.I got a chopper gunner last night on underpass and the game just kept spawning people in the open so i'd kill them straight away.I suppose I could have NOT killed them,but why should I have to make that decision?The game should have spawned them inside a building.
 
Just noticed the lag kills first hand.
Some guy runs into a room in favela where i am, shotguns my twice point blank and then runs into me and i knifed him. I got xp for the knife then killcam tells me im dead
 
first time i played HTDM, usually always TDM express! I love it, much more skill involved and people most certainly think twice about using the witch class or shotties.

Also notic ed on TDM last night, a guy just carrying a flash bang and knife, any idea how he managed to do that on the ps3?

Sure he wasn't just running around with a care package flare ? Makes you run much faster but you can only knife.
 
Why is this game so bad at picking hosts? I've seen it go through 3>4 which clearly don't have any bandwidth at all because the bars are either all orange except for the host or eventually come up to a mixture of 2s and 3s bar, but unstable.

2 cups and a piece of string? I am Infinity Ward, and the game shall go to the wall!

Another thing I'm getting tired of is conventional nukes where the host rage quits to the dashboard or turns the console off just because the tide has turned. This seems to be happening more often as people begin to get a little bored.

To be fair, the few times I have quit when i was host was due to the fact I was bored of the players/game mode I was playing.

If I'd have known I was host I would have waited it out. But that's another issue.

Yeah it should come up with a "You are hosting - are you sure you want to quit?" message or something.
