I do agree that if they are the actual specs then they do seem low

I hope the minigun is still in the game

If they're right then I'm hoping I can play this on my laptop in lower res when Im away on business :)
One of the OcUK Ultima laptops from a year ago.
 
He does mean the minigun, the smartgun is something completely different. You cannot move when you fire the minigun otherwise the recoil makes your bullets basically blow the crap out of the ceiling lol. Best weapon in avp2 for taking out praetorians as well
 
Yep the ol' minigun came in quite handy in the other games.

I still love the sound of the smartgun, LETS ROCK!!!!
 
need more info about guns, whats the diff between mini, smart gun and pulse? Des this new game have the proper gun noises as the last one was a bit meh
 
  • Pulse rifle is the standard infantry rifle, firing 10mm explosive tip, caseless light armour piecing rounds :) also featuring an underslung grenade launcher
  • Smartgun, squad support weapon larger calibre with a high rate of fire. Features an automatic targeting system which locks on to and tracks targets. Attached to a swing harness worn by the user. Very accurate
  • Minigun, rotary multi-barrelled weapon, massive rate of fire but with low accuracy at range, tends to only be fired while stationary due to high recoil
  • Flamer close quarters infantry support weapon, high damage but low range
  • Handgun use in emergencies only!

The first game used weapon noises from the films, I'm fairly sure that the second one did too. I love the weapon noises, they may not sound 'beefy' but the do the job well :)

They seem to have put a lot of effort into making it similar to the films i.e alien noises for one and the marines md and gun. Im gona say its gona sound and feel like your at a movie than a game imo. :)
 
Tbh im impressed at how lifelike they've got the feel of the aliens from the footage ive seen. Just seeing them properly run along the walls and ceiling with such fluid animation is just creepy. Certainly makes them appear a hell of allot truer to the movies than the previous games have now that the developers can take advantage of improved technology.
