The usual culprit for those is a dodgy SATA cable but it may be the SATA port itself. Try a new cable and if the error still persists try a different SATA port. Make sure the cable is firmly connected to both the drive and the motherboard.

Thanks for that, i have tried 3 different cables on each of the drives with no joy (including brand new ones), both F1 and the F3 drives show this warning but my old hitachi drive doesn't.
I also have an F3 in an external case which doesn't show this error (i will try it in the pc shortly to see)
I'm not 100% sure but I think that even if you fix the problem by changing the cable or port then it'll still show as a logged error under SMART. If it *is* fixed then logically the Data value should not change. It may be that you fixed the problem by changing the cables. If the value does change then the problem is still there.
Don't quote me on it though, perhaps someone more informed can clarify this?
