At that price they'd sell shedloads, unfortunately I think we'll see closer to £450 over here

In what world do you live in that Apple dollar prices mean half prices in pounds?
Quite, the $629 16GB with 3G is currently £389, add on VAT and you've got £457, so at least £500 for the 16GB 3G model, it's not going to be cheap.
That's only slightly higher resolution than WM devices and a few of the new Android devices... Also it's not 720p as that's the smallest size.
So it's essentiall the same as the Archos media devices that have been sold for the last few years, same size, same battery length and probably similar price (~£500). No decent res, ugly, short battery life (for an e reader) and no flash!
Looks like it's the W7 machines for me...

Dude it's nothing like a Kindle competitor, just because it lets you read books on it doesn't make it so.
