Old skool Games, List your favs, (screenshots welcomed)

hmm, how i would love to have so much time to revisit all these old games and really get into them again..

strange how when you grow up , you get all the cash to do what you want to computer related, however you never get the time to get fully involved..

sods law!

Amen to that!!! I can now buy all the old consoles I never had when was a kid, and all the consoles I never even knew existed way back in the day but I have no time to really get into the games and where would I put them all??

Sadly my collection of consoles is all boxed up in the loft at the mo cos I just don't have the room to have them all out and set up.

Surprised no ones seems to have mentioned the Metal Slug series, awesome games :D

Dont think ive seen a mention of Mortal Kombat either, even though i was always a Street Fighter guy and generally thought MK was rubbish (which it is :p), i did like the fatalitites as a kid :)

omg metal slug, i have these on neo geo, and xbox.. I love this game.. i remember spending hours on the arcade with spanish kids on this game.. somthing about it just moved so well and the artwork of the game was spot on. DAMN FANTASTIC!

Did anybody used to play micro machines on the mega drive, the version that had 2 extra controller ports in the game cartridges itself to allow for 4 player..

was genuis now i think about it.

Games I played lots back in the day:

Fields of Glory- a brilliant Napoleonic rts by microprose who needs the new total war game!!

Covert Action- I spent many many hours playing this game such a great game

Duke Nukem 1&2 back in the 2d days great games

Secret Agent- Another one I spent hours on

Tie Fighter- No need to explain

Ega Trek- I loved this game was one of my faves as a youngster

Loved the golden age of arcade games. Cant beat a bit of side scrolling beat em ups like final fight, aliens vs predator, cadillacs and dinosaurs. All by capcom but all classics!

Pc wise Duke nukem 3d, day of the tentacle and all the other lucasarts adventures deserve a mention.

you can play all the old classic games for ever and ever but you cant play crysis for 30mins without getting bored. Whats up with new games nowadays ? :(
