What % of games you buy do you complete?

I aim to finish every game I buy, but very rarely try and get 100% by getting stupid collectables or whatever the game wants me to do. only 2 games in my collection I haven't completed, and those are bioshock and dirt 2, I keep getting bored of bioshock. And I started dirt 2 on an offline profile (brothers copy of game on my machine, couldn't reuse key) and then got a copy with my 5850 so started it again.... was so close on my offline :|

I'm a Finisher, I would nearly always finish a game unless it is too difficult in an annoying way (e.g. Meat Circus in Psychonauts) or the game is just rubbish (Stalin v Martians or whatever it was called).

exactly, I used to rent a lot of games for consoles on subscription basis. Would only send back if completed or was just a bad game. Used to record if I'd completed or not, I sometimes just completed a bad game because it was the weekend and no point sending it back, so I wanted a little tick next to the title :D I love the feeling when you complete a game that you've been struggling with for awhile, especially since I get frustrated very easily when gaming... the relief of the credits is awesome :D

I actually felt that about Deus Ex... christ knows why but i really did suck at that game when i first got it. Can't think why i was so bad at it. Felt so much better when i completed it without cheating... on that note 'set deusex.jcdentonmale bcheatsenabled true' thats the weirdest cheat enabled thing i've ever seen and i can't forget it!

Very high.. I don't buy a game unless I know I can complete it but that's my nature.

That said, the only games over the last 9 years I've not completed are Dungeon Siege, TR Anniversary and CHASER. To do the maths, i'd need to know the number of completed games..

not really, it's a reference to your character object :) anyway, back on topic :)

I guessed but why :p Surely its obvious its Deux Ex and that your JCDenton and Male. Its not as if you could activate cheats for the enemies ><

I really must finish off Fear 2... i just hope i haven't lost my save files when i went to Win7, don't remember if i copied them.

The last game I bought and didn't complete was the original Black and White. I don't buy that many games but when I do I am pretty much monogamous with it. When I finish a game a buy a new one.

Hard to say, it used to be quite a low figure, maybe around 15-25% when I was heavily into multiplayer. Nowadays I'd say it's probably more like 50-60% (I'm taking 'completed' to mean having beaten the storyline/campaign, not 100% completion).

Worth mentioning that I spend more time on some uncompleted games than I do on completed ones, e.g. Midnight Club 2 I reached around 70% completion before giving up, but spent a lot longer on it than say, CoD4 which I did complete.

I complete maybe 9 in 10 games. I am quite selective in what i buy unless it's a real good deal.

At the moment I've got loads to complete after the steam holiday sale buying blitz. Will see me though the summer drought thou. But some good games due out this Feb so the list ain't getting smaller.

If i enjoy the game i tend to complete them. Most of the games i play now though don't have defined end points like L4D2, total war series, civ series etc

I very rarely complete games these days,1 out of every 5 I would think.
why's that? too hard? too boring?

games have got significantly shorter over the years, unless there is a really hard bit, or the game isn't that great, there's no reason I can think of for not finishing them. most games take no more than a day
