BC2 BETA... Your thoughts and SCREENSHOTS of it

It's not bad - I've never been a huge fan of the snow themed maps in the battlefield series and this is no different.

Problems for me so far - I can't configure my joystick to pitch down in aircraft. Random boots off servers. Other than that - it's pretty cool. I'm happy to have pre-ordered this and not bought CODMW2. BF is always more satisfying as a game.
 
Had a bash this lunch time and I really enjoyed it. It's a nice improvement from Bad Company (had that on PS3), seems like things are even more destructable. I cannot WAIT for Battlefield 3 - imagine what that is going to be like if they have 64+ player servers with destruction.

Worst thing about it is the FOV, 65 is horrible. Also, you can tell by the feel that it was a console-orientated game engine.

I hope they decided to increase the FOV :(

Anyone else noticed dreadful drops in framerates when they run?

I think the foliage looks like it belongs in a ps1 game, but the soliders look AWESOME! Definitely needs more effects (Like motion blur) to make it more immerseful (if that is even a word).

I did notice the crap FOV... it makes me feel boxed in and trapped :D

As for the gameplay... I quite like the sliding crouch thing, I don't like that I can no longer strafe while sprinting, and the frankly incredible recoil on the guns made it pretty damn difficult to get a kill, but I guess that is more about the realism thing.

I understand its a beta and things are going to be changed, but these are my current gripes. Can't see the point in playing it again until they release an update (if they do).

Sliding crouch thing? Have a missed a move here?
 
Had a round or two, nice to play wasnt too stressfull and was good to play.

BUT having no prone OMG! I think i would stop playing this if they didnt implement it, oh and the scores list? no information apart from the points you have, ping, kills, deaths etc need to be there.

But does need a few other things ammended.

But not all is bad :D

The drop in FPS may just be down to lag, I noticed it too, the character while sprinting animations looked skippy, but i'm putting it down to latency over my PC.

Ah thats a good point.

In which case my other gripe is the score sheet doesn't give any actual meaningful information.
 
Wish it would remember my loadout when I start a new game - pain in the but having to choose everytime, and I would like an auto login when i start the game pain having to go through 2 screens to get to the main menu

for the guys hats say the gfx arent that good , well here as some shots from me i think it rocks!
1900x1200 CFAA x24 and AF x16 ati 5850 OC 1000 runs 45 fps steady .......
