I thought the F22 is a whole generation ahead and is generally better in every aspect?

Why would we need any of these fighters, The Typhoon is as good if not better than most.

its probably a smoke screen and its a pile of crap like most of their hardware is.
i remember some documentary about aeroplanes and they had some show of force airshow and they had the same plane circle around a sillly number of times and claimed it wasnt the same plane each time

Still don't know why nato and russia haven't joined forces and just create an united military. Offer any other country to join, and then once the whole world has joined we can just create starfleet.
Typical russian propaganda, they love to show their supposed superiority but as already said they're years behind and it won't have the hardware or software sophistication that the f22 will have which btw was designed as early as the late 1980's i kid you not, even the f117a was early to mid 80's design.
As for the f35 the us have the full on version with all the tech us in the uk get the next model down, can't remember but it's one less item on it as the us want to maintain superiority just in case.
The typhoon is indeed an all out dogfighter, can't wait for the trenche 3 version that gets the same radar as the jsf/f22 and the thrust vector engines now that will be fun, bugger for the poor pilot to fly mind.
As already said uav's are indeed the future the usaf are heavily gearing up for this, i think their Reaper drones are the most advanced, jets like the t50 will be a distant memory i mean why waste a perfectly good pilot just send 10 uav's the t50 will be pretty much screwed.

I think we can conclude its avionics and systems will be somewhat behind the curve and not of the same capability as those in the F22, unless all of a sudden Russia has taken a massive leap forward. As systems are what distinguish the modern jet fighter I suspect it's not match for the F22.
