BC2 BETA... Your thoughts and SCREENSHOTS of it

I don't even have an Xbox controller... the problem is you have no time or space to learn how to fly the chopper. Has anyone got any tips on how to fly it with Keyboard/Mouse?

I give up. My machine can't handle this game just now. Hopefully when I get an i3 and a 5850 and can play the final build.

Why are you specifically planning to upgrade to another dual core if the game recommends quad cores ? For this game even buying a used 80 quid q6600 would probably work better than an i3 ?

Far too little pics in this thread, how does it look on 1920x1080 or 1200 with 4x aa and everything on high ?

As for the performance, how does it run on say a GTX260 and a 3.2ghz quad ?
As the for the dual core users, why are you complaining, you have an inferior cpu to the ones in the consoles, don't expect it to run better...

Mmm, I don't have many good screen shots which boast amazing graphics due to most of the times I think wow I am in the middle of a firefight.

Here is 1 though 1900x1200 everything max aa on 4 HBAS or w/e it's called.

My rig is far from new and I run the game on medium @ 1440x900. FPS is around 30 to 40 and it's very playable. I'd like an upgrade but I don't have the monies. :(

I swear the aa vehicles in this game are verging on totally pointless. That one where you have the weird turret at the top, has anyone tried turning the damn thing? It takes forever to get it shifted and by the time you do the apache has totally wrecked it.

thats 800x500 :p.
I thought the new i range were better than quad cores.
It may be faster ( I'm not sure), but it doesn't change the fact that it only has 2 processing cores, and the game wants 4 or more. Unless the i3 has hyper threading like the i7 ( I haven't payed attention to the low and mid range i3 and i5) it'll still be rubbish at games that are designed to run on 3 or 4 or more threads such as GTA IV or this.

I've practically given up with AA, i don't have a tracer dart so i'm stuck trying to shoot them with a pretty hopeless RPG and can't seem to find any vehicles.

Have you guys tried playing it with Bloom disabled? Go into the setting.ini and change 'Bloom' to false. Game looks much clearer and movement feels less 'laggy'. I'll try take some screenies for a comparison.

does the friends list work? me and my riend have both tried assind eachother, received the requests and clicked the lil right hand arrow but still nothing on the lists....

yep it does and it improves your visibility and ive notice my points per round increase ;-)

My fps are all over the place still. Bloom is off with aax2 everything on med. Keep jumping from 28-45.

Tempted to get a quad core but not sure if it would be worth it.

Yes I took it from wiki :)

Bloom (sometimes referred to as light bloom or glow) is a computer graphics effect used in computer games, demos and high dynamic range rendering (HDR) to reproduce an imaging artifact of real-world cameras. The effect produces fringes (or feathers) of light around very bright objects in an image.

You can see an example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloom_(shader_effect)
