As in topic I want to know what the next milestone is for another avatar for me, 2000? Im sick of Wise Guy..

Why cant we customise them, its so boring having these ones. its doing my head in.

i might start a petition im sure i can get enough people

if everybody had their own avatars the pages would take yonks to load up.
stick with what we got. it works.

Dont fix it, aint broken.
 
It's the way it is because that's the way we want the forums to be. However we did add extra rankings and avatars after requests. Custom avatars are not going to happen though.

You may be able to get enough people, but it won't do any good. OcUK has used it's own avatars for about 10 years, and despite repeated calls for custom avatars, they've never come into effect (that I recall anyway), and I for one am happy for that. I hate forums with tons of custom avatars, they often look really nasty and tacky, and make the pages load up twice as slowly. At least here they all look nice and load quickly, something I find quite important.
 
If you visit most other forums you'll see how bad it looks with custom avatars and signatures that take up 20 lines and have animated GIFs in them. This forum is actually half readable thanks to the strict policy.
 
custom avatars would just be another thing to moderate. which means more work for the mods. animated ones could also slow the forum down i guess.

i like it the way it is.
 
We really need a reputation system more than anything, people seem to spam a lot to get high post counts to increase their e-peens.
 
Custom avatars make the neat forum look like poo. I like it that OcUK keeps it neat and doesn't reduce itself to the level of most other troll-ridden forums on the net.
