tried the vetrans thing, got heroes working and bf2 but it doesnt want to acceot my 2142 name and pw....might have forgotten it

any ideas how i can find out?

Turning off bloom and hbos (or what ever its called) and setting AF to 8X is the best advice i can give

I think this has already been asked but I forgot... but how do you get BC2 so still work with steam chat thingy, did you need to run in in DX9?

just opt into the steam client beta, it worked for me.

Yeah theres an official message on the Steam Forum somewhere, the Beta Client should work with BC2 Beta.

really annoying me now, weapons are too weak and inaccurate, if your not up the ranks, sick of putting 6 bullets into someone for them to turn round and knife me or kill me in 2 shots while im out of bullets, if you shoot someone it should stun them somewhat, not let them charge you with a knife, i feel a cancel on the way.

Doesnt really change much at rank 11, id say the only gun thats decent is the xm8 prototype. Failing that a pistol works well.
