OK maybe it's just me then. I really expected it to be much closer. 4WD is a great asset when trying to put down a lot of HP.

With the big drag Skylines they ditch the 4wd and go rear only.

Is the 599 mid engined? MR is the perfect configuration for traction really AFAIK.

Not on a rolling start, if anything it's a hindrance when rolling in a straight line due to the extra transmission losses. Besides, the GTR is only 4WD when it needs to be

I didnt

the 599 is a full on V12 supercar. Its got the same engine as the Enzo, the ferrari flagship model.

The GTR was never intended to sit among Enzos and Carrera GTs and MC12s etc..

It was aimed squarely at the 911 Turbo.

well you are saving £125k by buying the GTR, so if you can afford a 599 then it makes sense to tune further!

I thought the difference was £135,000.

But yeah, the point stands. I'd like to see a £65,000 GTR with £125,000 of Mods up against a £200,000 599...

I think you'd find, that if you said, ok, here's £10k, mod away, the mod benefits to the GTR (VFM) would far outweigh those done to the 599 and the GTR would be in with a much better chance
