*****The Official Aliens Vs Predator 3*****

85% downloaded the PS3 demo. Will let you know how it differs from the PC one.

You guys think the PC version is bad? At least you can eventually get a game. I completed the download at 3pm. Since then, I've been stuck in a cycle of Search For Game -> 1 player in game, waiting for 7 more -> Search For Game.

Jeez can some of you find out before commenting  this is the console version quickly and badly ported to pc to keep sega happy. All controls can be configured how you want them same as any other game so there shouldn't be a problem of bad controls. There are no dedi's for this demo but there will be for the release version on pc. Guys this version is not what we will be getting for our pc's so calm down a bit and wait before going into hysteric "i'm cancelling my order".

Whilst I'm not going to **** off the graphics - and I personally think game playability has nothing to do with graphical prowess - you'd have to be nuts to think the game looks better than Crysis.

In all fairness, we've no idea what the final in-game graphics will actually look like (apart from the odd trailer), as the demo is DX9 limited (compared to DX11 in the full release).

If they graphics aren't good in this game, what the hell do people expect them to look like then?!

I think people on these forums have started to hype up games far too much in their minds, wanting uber looks to match their uber PCs. Can't you just be happy with a game that looks very good?

Ok, maybe the comparison to Crysis was a bit much, but the game is no worse looking than MW2. I think we are all forgetting, that we used to be simply happy with basic 3D graphics. Now nothing is good enough if it doesn't stress your system to the max, or look super photo realistic.

The only ones doing the hyping up is us. If you want to be impressed, set lower expectations that the majority of games will match.

Just found out that the demo is approx 10 months old and is a console based demo thats been rushed to the pc so everyone gets a taste of what it will be like.

Do you think there is any truth to this ?

Are we definitely getting dedicated servers for this game?

At the end of the day, they wouldn't added dedi support for a demo. Too much work for something so short lived.

Demo, not game :p

Quite why they released a demo based on an almost year old engine build is quite amazing.

Don't like all this negative comments. Let's hope that this is just a consol port and not indicative of the final game. At this price I still won't complain, just won't play lol :p

just played this on the pc demo via steam, tbh i quit the game after 5 mins, i thought it lacked atmosphere that it should have,i just looks like the average deathmatch game with 3 great movie characters that do not seem to be who they are....i wish i could cancel my order via steam but i dont think i can,its not the money,i would just consider this game a waste of time playing,if the full price game is anything like the beta then it will be a waste of money for me,tbh i expected it to be much better, however the full game may change things,we will have to see

only just read this, hopefully ur right

Yes there are definately going to be dedi servers for the pc release rebellion have stated as much. Also i know this is a console port but how old the code and stuff is i didn't know. It really is too early to be completely writing the game off and i will wait and see what i end up with before making any cast in stone opinions. Seems to me sega has yet again used the bully stick on a developer to get something out sooner then it should have been and not in a way that does the tital justice any purchaser of ETW will know how that can end :).

argh it spend ages looking for a game, when it did, it crashed when loading the level :(

Perhaps it is, and I really hope so, though the damage has probably been done for quite a few people. Hopefully Rebellion will confirm the above in the next few days.
