Dead Space 2 is coming out for PC!

whether you liked the game or not the pc loosing a franchise is never a good thing. we've allready lost gears of war and fable, now probably dead space, what next!?
 
Despite an EA rep saying “as of right now a PC sku is not in the plan” a few days ago, it turns out that a PC version of Dead Space 2 is looking more and more likely. After the game was mysteriously missing from a EA SEC filing, a unnamed PR rep was reported as saying that a PC version was “not in the plan.” Things were looking grim until earlier today when yet another unnamed rep said that a PC sku was “under consideration.”

And now we’ve come full circle from “no way” to “maybe” and a “yes” as EA producer and former GFW magazine chief editor Jeff Green recently tweeted the following assuring and comforting words: “Rumor fact check: There *will* be a PC version of Dead Space 2. Worry not!” Considering Green is the only one to actually be named when talking about Dead Space 2, we’re more inclined to believe him, but maybe EA should be a little worried about communication between their various departments.

I just recently bought this game. My first thoughts were 'wow! pretty looking!' and 'ooo clunky controls.'
But now I'm all like 'yeah this looks great if you like walking around slighlty differently shaped grey rooms, fetching this pressing that.'
and 'Isn't this basically the plot of Alien? I've already seen Alien which is how I know, and also why it's a problem that it's basically the plot of ALien.'
I don't mind the controls though or not being able to jump.

No, its nothing like Alien plot wise and in the last scene you do not blow anything out an airlock. Hope that puts your mind at rest.

You can jump, you just haven't got to a zero G section yet.
 
Jeff Green is a pretty senior figure within EA, i am taking this as there will be a PC version, great news :)

The plot is almost criminally generic, and quite a lot like the Alien. Alien is a great film and so are some of it's imitators but it's decades old and computer games can be so much more.
