Dead Space 2 is coming out for PC!

I had never heard of the original until it was on the steam christmas sales so it's no surprise (to me anyway) that it sold poorly

One of the most generic, unimaginative games of all time; I don't even have time to list all the titles it magpie'd from. I actually abandoned it 'bout three hours in, which is an extreme rarity for me.

It just felt like a "nothing" game.

It also sold nothing on PC. Thus, there is no market for it on PC. Thus, from here on out it won't be on PC.

*shrugs*...Watch me weep for it.

well it would appear your on your own with this opion

Dead Space was a great game

wtf, why?!

I would hate playing this on the console; can't beat the max res/details, v-synced at constant 60fps, mouse + keyboard plus some decent headphones that a PC offers.

I really liked the first one but I heard this one would be more actiony like RE5 and 4 so I probably wouldn't play it anyeay. I was hoping for something less action orientated, like the first RE games.

I dont think I ever saw an advert on TV for dead space or really knew what it was when it was originally released lol. I picked it up cheap on steam and really enjoyed it although got stuck and couldnt complete it very late into the game (chapter 10 iirc). I literally cannot remember any sort of advertising for the game at all :S

I definitely saw TV spots for it. How did you get stuck, there's a breadcrumb system?

Aside from a few initial issues (mouse sensitivity being too low, editing the config file sorted it, and the default brightness being too high), Dead Space was great. Really atmospheric.

I remember it would still make me jump on my umphteenth playthrough.

I can't see them never releasing it on P.C, they wouldn't be that cruel.

How good is the original? Its still sitting on my steam list from the last sale.

It took me a while to get into it. The controls and viewpoint are a real pain at first unless you're used to console gaming (I'm not). However once you get into the story it really is very atmospheric/scary indeed.

Personally I think it's no better than Doom3; both rely on some very simple tricks to keep you on your toes. However I really enjoyed (if you can ever enjoy being scared) Doom3, so that's no bad thing.

Dead Space was great - and I'm pretty a pretty hard person to please. I played it with a 360 controller, however, like I did with FO:3, so I didn't experience any control issues.

In fact, my personal journey to the Dark Side is almost complete. I prefer the 360 controller for just about everything these days :D

i have dead space 1 and i loved it, and the controls you all annoyed about i had no problem with them even with vsync on.

oh on my EA profile dead space 2 is still saying for PC too.

So i hope the customer relations guy messed up.
