I can actually see this being quite useful. I mean they make a point about it being made for use in confined areas and it will definitely be a safer way to respond to a terrorist or whatever situation in a confined area like an airport.

Yes it looks utterly ridiculous but in all honesty they may well have something.

I saw one of the wifes of a local rugby club (Gwent dragons) driving what i swear was a bullet proof Range rover....

They could be solid rubber, a few bullet holes won't make a massive difference to solid rubber tyres. Ride difference would be shocking but you're going to disarm bombs, comfort isn't the main concern for todays discerning bomb technician.
