I think Nvidia are might just keep delaying Fermi untill they have something else. May is just to close to the 6800 and the cut down version will struggle to beat a souped up version of the 5000 series.

The only reason I can see for keeping the card running at such a huge loss, is so ATI dont get the extra production capacity at TSMC.

I think I see the problem. Your philosophy buck's the trend of how things work in the non-perfect world.

Instead of doing what you think is right, instead do what works...
Your slowly turning yourself into the type that get's 'picked on' which of course you don't like.

Probably non of us know what you look like, we can't see if your wearing the latest trainers etc. so if you feel picked on it's because of what your typing on your keyboard.
My guess is me & others don't do it because we dislike you but simply because it's fun.

To help you out a little below is my advice.
Rule #1: Never mention/admit hurt feelings or act as such.

Thing is now they have started making Ati cards will nvidia be happy letting them continue making there cards aswell when they do surface to market?

I get the feeling no - but I also think that nVidia will either have to accept it or cut off their own nose to spite their face.

The partners don't have much choice, Ati is where the profit is at, for the short/medium term.

The other NV partners just need to do their best to survive the drought, however I don't see any signs of the rain coming soon.
 
Have you seen the way they are surviving the drought... some of the spin on the GT220, 240, GT310, etc. would make nVidia proud.
 
He means you should be buying an ATI 5 series card.

TBH unless you have a specific reason to go with nVidia it makes sense.
