I asked a question on here earlier about if SoC was any good as i was tempted to buy on steam. Nearly every one said it was an amazing game.. but then i ntoiced for an extra few quid i could get the brand new one Pripyat (which has directx 11 and would really show what my 5870 was made of

) But some people said it was best to play shadow first before Pripyat.. so now im buggerd -_- lol I dont which to buy! I dont wana spend a Tenner and get a good game with Okish graphics rather than a good game with great graphic for an extra £10!

Dunno about CoP, but SoC is a lot of fun and well worth getting if you havent played it.

Just one thing I would suggest about SoC..beware the bugs!!!!

SOC is awesome with the 2009 mod, I hated it without it but the mod improves the game at least 100%

Well if as you said, you bought it on steam you'll now be able to get CoP for £5 less when your done with SoC. huzzah!

Enjoyed SoC, but won't play it through again. It's definitely a good game, but there were a few flaws here and there that stopped it from making my "great" list.

I would say Cop or Clear sky tbh.

Soh was good but not as good as the others.

Cop is a bit short for my liking CS was brilliant (when patched up)

There is a gameplay mod out there that for me, made the game enjoyable to play. I can't remember the name of it since I played it maybe a year ago. It *might* have been Oblivion Lost mod.

what a waste of a tenner ffs -_- the game crashs every few mins, sometimes when i go to the pause menu when i unpause im greeted with a pure yellow screen-_- theres random slow downs for NO reason and when i die it takes 4-5 mins to reload the save -_-.. Its unplayable.. Ive updated all my drivers (as i allways do) No programs running in the back apart from Steam.. i wish id paid an extra tenner and got mass effect 2 or something now -_-

Sorry about that buddy, but if you manage to get it working all ok, you will not be disapointed. It's strange it works perfectly on some systems, and on others it's horrid.

I myself have never had major problems with ShoC, so its disenheartening to see posts like yours.

Here's to it eventually working itself out

It's a brilliant game.

Is it automatically patched when purchasing from Steam? If not then that could be your problem.

well i got the error code and posted it into google and a lot of poeple say to reinstall the game

..so im just redownloading (the 7gb -_-) to try again

hope so from what i played it did look good! (thought i thought it was about vampires lol seems more mutant based) *fingers crossed* it works

Its a bit like sims 3! My friend has a crappyish dell budget laptop.. and can run it medium settings smooth as a cucumber.. i have a high end system.. all finally tuned..and its jerky as hell on very low lol

Call of Pripyat really is Giant leaps & bound ahead of the other games.
Shadow of Chenrnobyl has had some great mods released, some of the best ever (I'm looking at you, Complete 2009, Oblivion Lost 2.2, LURK & maybe even Lost Alpha eventually).
But the 2 things call of pripyat adds above all else is great meaningful missions, in large quantity & a massively supirior interface throughout.
These cannot really be modded back into the old games.

EDIT: just downloaded it.. still the same if not worse -_- I wish i could get a refund! This is so stupid.
