what film/book would you want them to make a game of (Just for you)

^^ surely this is what you meant :D

as mentioned earlier. A discworld MMO would be epic

Idd but what would be the goal? Not exactly as if there is a war on there and it would seem a little poor the amazing world of Pratchett reduced down to 10 years olds screaming at each other for better epics :p

An MMO doesn't have to involve a war, it could be set in Ankh Morpork with the different guilds battling for political power. It would be seriously ambitious, but hey that's what this thread is for :)

Considering the MUD version is still going strong and that doesn't really involve wars this would be awesome.

Raymond E. Feist's Riftwar novels (Magician etc). Two very complete worlds with rift raids for the faction (Midkemia/Kelewan) that you'd selected.

Add the Hall of Worlds to that, and you'd have something that was infinitely expandable and variable on top of the existing source material.

(and yes, I know there's a MUD, but I'd like a proper MMO)

The Horus Heresy, awesome multi genre game, some bits RPG, some bits RTS, some bits FPS

Along similar lines, Inquisitor I think a game style like Mass Effect would suit it perfectly

So long as it's not another ruddy MMO

Dragonlance is a good shout. I'd love an MMO like that or even a single player - magic is so varied in the books you can almost do anything which could make it massively open-ended. The Riftwar saga is a good idea as I massively enjoyed the books.

I'm not sure how the Dark Tower would work as an RPG, maybe as a story based FPS with RPG elements. Or would you have an RPG set in that Universe, how would you represent all the gates? :)

The game would come on 17 discs and you would be at disc 4 before anything interesting happens. Then you get to disc 8 then stop playing because you are so sick of the author going "Oh god look at how awesome I am. This is my magnus opus. Great isn't it?" every 10 minutes.

Sorry. Not a fan of that particular series of books! :p

Yeah, in fact I think we're all in agreement that there needs to be more GW games, it's a universe with almost unparalleled depth and could be made into such a variety of awesome games, it's been woefully underused so far with the exception of Dawn of War (Although Shadow of The Horned Rat and Dark Omen were ok)
