It's a vicious cycle, it will be fine if people just boycott this to show their feelings, but I have a feeling most will just pirate it, leading to developers taking even harshers stances.

Surely there has to be a "cut off" point where us (customers) stop allowing them to bend us over so they can have their way?

I am certain this is one of the few industries which repeatedly gets away with treating its customers in this way.

I completely agree, in which case people shouldn't buy the game. That doesn't give them to right to go and pirate it though. That doesn't happen in other industries really does it?

Does anyone else think the character models look absolutely awful in AC2? Everyone I've asked said they look brilliant, but they honestly look awful to me. I'm playing it on the 360 in 720p.

In other industries you can't make a clone effortlessly and costlessly of the product for yourself... If people could clone Lambo's or Villa's, they would.


Anyways, I don't like most ubisoft games anyhow, so will definitely not be buying this.
Of course, the pirate version will have all the DRM rubbish removed, it might take some time, but it'll be cracked.

I wasn't advocating piracey, I was re-affirming my belief that the game should be boycotted and maybe these companies are thinking too highly of thrmselves?

Most DRMs, dont effect legitimate users. This just stinks.

Finally someone else can see how poor this looks yes it does look awful they turned down the level of detail as well as cutdown the amount of content as disk space is over 2GB less than AC1 I predict this game will not sell well at all on PC as when it starts getting proper PC screenshots people can finally see how bad the gfx really are

I thought the environments looked nice, and the characters looked fine in-game. But during the cutscenes, the faces looked terrible. Very out of proportion and not realistic in the slightest. Maybe I've been playing Source games too much which do faces too well.
