What sort of age/sp are you? I'm sorta the same, a 2005 char but only 38m SP and guys i played with back then are like 90m+ now :(

do u have the isk and the means to survive in 0.0? it can be pretty expensive on the losing side and if your new to it all. be careful

I'll be fine, I've a few billion in assets, 1/2 billion in actual ISK, 0.0 used to be my home before I took a leave of EvE.

Would a 2005 account with 60k SP give me serious problems? :(

theres a lot of paranoid people in eve, if i were you id consider scrapping that character and making a brand new one, you wont get any people questioning where youve been for 5 years that way, and it sounds like you have no skills to lose

I'm going to assume its a setup for solo mission running the high dps missions :p
I've got 2x Large repairer II's then 4x mission specific hardeners on my Armageddon for when doing missions when I don't know how bad the damage I take could be. Usually cope fine with just a single repairer mind!

Is no tracking mods really that much of a problem?
 
it is on a tempest with artillery, you need at least 1 tracking enhancer in a low slot and a tracking computer in a med slot or you wont hit anything
 
reminds me of when I started I fitted a few dual light lasers in my moa , god knows why didn't have a clue back then lol
 
(5% bonus to Large Projectile Turret rate of fire and Large Projectile Turret damage per level.)

Who needs ship bonuses anyway? :p

There was a few others that got linked afterwards, like a Typhoon with Heavy Launchers, two 1400mm Arty and two 650mm Autos, and a shield "tank", and a guy claiming his Drake could shoot its missiles 200km. : /

Must remember to save all the fail ships I see, I'm kinda hoping to find some manner of T3 fail.

I've not used Large sized long range weaponry yet, but pulses on my Armageddon are bad enough at times, imagine beams are comparable to artillery (not checked the stats)

Yeh I can remember some of my early ships, my coercer had 4 beam lasers (2 of one type 2 of another), 2 hybrids (later replaced with autocanons) and a smartbomb at one point within a week of starting to play the game.
Learnt a tad since then though! :D

Impossible. Furthest drake could get with no constraints is 142.6 with:

And even then thats impossible because you don't have enough calibration points, which means the max you can fire is 121.5, Absolute Bull :D
 
If he means 60million he is going to be more than fine, probably better than most people. 60k can't be right.

Also maybe there are implants to increase missile flight time? I dunno much about missiles tbh.
 
My character race is Gallente Gallente and I've been using hybrid turrets with antimatter ammo so far because my cruiser (Thorax) gives a damage bonus on them but I'll shortly be upgrading to a battle cruiser for level 3's then a destroyer for level 4's.

Should I stick with hybrid turrets or are there better weapons for PVE?

Also are certain weapons preferable for PVP or do you just go with whatever gives the highest DPS at the longest range?

Anything thats a Gun, Turret, or Energy Weapon is preferable.

If you use missiles, time between when you take the shot, and when you hit the enemy, is so long that most targets are gone in a decent sized fleet before the missile even gets there.

Mid - Long range guns for the win.
