what film/book would you want them to make a game of (Just for you)

if you had the chance to magicly make 3 games from any movie/book (or TV show) what would it be? (ONLY POST 3 At most and Genre (if you want too) It dosnt matter if any one else would like it, These games are just being made for YOU.. So nm how crap the film is.. go for it:D

Mine would be:

The Wickerman (1976) (film)
(Point and click)

Cowboys for christ (movie/book)
(point and click)

Red dwarf (tv)
(Space Sim, birds eye view/over the shoulder shooter & RPG)

How about you?:)

*wonders how long it will be before some one says doctor who and twilight*

Oh my goodness the Wickerman is one of the most disturbing films I have ever seen. That could be a great game! The ending really could be epic, as well as deeply disturbing.

Ringworld.

Ringworld is a series of 4 books by science fiction writer Larry Niven. It's about a giant ring built around a star, it's an ancient deep space artifact with the surface area of approximately 3 million earths. Rough overview of plot: In the first book 4 characters travel to the Ringworld to investigate it's origin and state, one of the characters, who is a super-advanced species called a Pierson's Puppeteer, has been sent as a representative to investigate the current state of the Ringworld and it's habitability, his home planets live in a galaxy which will soon (in 20 thousand years) be flooded by deadly radiation, so their 5 trillion (iirc) inhabitants need somewhere new to live.

Yes comparisons would be made between it and Halo but that would be purely down the architecture of the ring, which is actually based on something called a Dyson's sphere. But the sheer scale of the environment and diversity of characters/species that feature in the books has real potential in my opinion to make a great game.

They did make a game out of it years ago but I'm not sure it did very well.

Anyway I'm probably just a fan boy and know nothing about what constitutes a good game but I'd like to see this :D

few spring to mind but if granted the one wish it would have to be that someone makes a game of the film LEON also known of shore as THE PROFFESIONAL My all time favourite film

i think RONIN could also make a good game lots of good car chases in there combined with gun totting

Raymond E. Feist's Riftwar novels (Magician etc). Two very complete worlds with rift raids for the faction (Midkemia/Kelewan) that you'd selected.

Add the Hall of Worlds to that, and you'd have something that was infinitely expandable and variable on top of the existing source material.

(and yes, I know there's a MUD, but I'd like a proper MMO)

Couldn't have put it better myself mate. 100% perfect :)

An MMO of the Nightw-a-tch books. Not the film! It was an abortive travesty.

Secret world looks like it's trying something similar, but I'd actually love the game set in Moscow, with access to deeper and weirder levels of the twilight depending on how powerful you were.

Edit - had to add a few '-' there to stop the filter thinking I was referring to something naughty :)

It would be impossible to it justice, but one can dream ...

Tell me about it :(

Being an ordinary person getting wrapped up in a web of intrigue and skullduggery ala Player of Games would be pretty cool though. Bonus points if we can have dry humorous conversations with some Minds too.

Along similar lines, Inquisitor I think a game style like Mass Effect would suit it perfectly

So long as it's not another ruddy MMO

While I want a 40k MMO badly, last decent Sci-fi mmo I played was Anarchy Online, but that sounds like a great idea!
Dark, grim and gritty!

Privateer type game set in the Battlestar Galactica universe!!!

Give me Fallout 3 style RPG elements on the ships and Freelancer type space battles in between and I'll die a happy chappy.

shaun of the dead mod for left4dead 2

District 9 fps (might be a bit HL2 though)

blade runner set in a GTA style open city map, fly your spinner about looking for clues etc

someone said sharpe - a 3rd person game with assassins creed style sword fighting set during massive battles, and squad commands (like BIA) for your company

Neuromancer.

That would be brilliant, play as Sally in 3rd person while she's doing her thing and Case in 1st person in the Matrix.

The Mask - Comic, not movie.

Basically just a sandbox style open world game in which you can summon any kind of weapon you want, change your appearance, are invincible and spend your time running around inciting chaos.

Neverwhere - I would love to see a Neverwhere RPG but I think it would literally appeal to me and maybe a dozen other people, would be almost solely for the imagery.

Wheel of Time - RPG of the first 3 novels.
