Dragon Age or Mass Effect 2?

Yea, definitely. It's a really tactical RPG and there's the potential for lots of different abilities that are easier to select if clickable from a 'hotbar' at the bottom of the screen rather than a radial wheel via a control pad.

Great, hoping my PC will be able to run it ok. E8400 @ 3.4GHZ, 4GB RAM and a 4850 512mb. Enough for a good frame rate?

Absolutely. Should be able to run near-on full detail at high frame rates. It's a very forgiving engine (the graphics aren't particularly impressive).

You shouldn't have to choose, play both, and if you haven't played Mass Effect 1, play that too. All three are amongst some of the finest games you could possibly play and you'd be missing out by just picking one. :)

After all the ME2 hype i thought id give them ago, played ME1 and now half way through ME2 both have been brilliant. Not been this interested in games for years now i cant stop playing it, gonna have to try dragon age now when this ones complete.

if i had to pick i would go for dragon age, its longer, has multiple starting areas for added replay value, there is more deph to the combat and the expantion is due out soon :)

dragon age if you like rpgs masss effect 2 if you like a more maintstream tps

but dragon age is miles better in terms of quality and value

If 'rpg' means more to you then Dragon Age is a no-brainer between them two.

Having said that, I did enjoy ME2 as well but it really is more of a wannabe shooter with some watered down rpg elements. I think they went overboard on the dumbing down but the story and companions are good.

I really liked both but much preferred ME2. I think the story is somewhat better and well crafted while the Dragon Age one is a touch...generic.

Out of the two i prefer Dragon Age as it's more rpg related which has previously been mentioned though they are both great games so just play both. :p

'Pologies for the absolute hi-jack but just ordered this. Can't wait till it rains at the weekend now. Cup of tea and some gaming!

Playing through Dragon Age at the moment and really enjoying it. First time in a long while iv actually really gotten into the story of a game. Didn't enjoy ME1 myself, so my vote is obvious.

Didn't get far through DAO before I started to get bored (I'm at the tower now). Going to try revisit it this weekend as it's a quality game and I have a cold so need to kill some indoors time, it just didn't 'grab me' first time around. Maybe it will as I progress.
