Steam friends list erased?

Nothing on community page either

List isn't being sorted for some reason.

If someone's online it leaves them wherever they are in the list instead of bringing them to the top.

*starts the rumor mill* could it be the start of the major visual/functional update thats supposedly coming to the steam client?

EDIT: just installed it now and this is just a 5mins ooo look at this view but its seems pretty pretty, perhaps a bit too cluttered for the size of the window I'm used to about 1/3 of a 1680x1050 screen and seems a bit slow to switch between views but thats fairly understandable. Seems like they're beginning to add more stuff along the friends/community side which is nice.

Anyway for anyone who doesnt know to try it, go to file>steam settings and then click the opt in beta and then steam will restart and install the new stuff.

Mine are back, after trying the beta, and then reverting back to the original with a shortcut ( the beta CTD'd).

Mine was gone last night and sorted this morning when I checked. Liking the new Steam UI.

The major issue I have with regaining my friends list is I am now back in contact with Antar....

I tried this morning - my friends list was still in tact - and when I tried the beta UI - it was still fully functioning!
