BenQ G2420HDBL (LED Backlit) or BenQ G2420HD

can somebody help me decide between this and the E2420HD, im more attracted to the latter as it has more connections and built in speakers, i wont have to faff about with a dvi switch etc.

Can anybody post a pic of this beside a 22" monitor? I'm considering upgrading to the BenQ LED version. Currently I have this monitor. Can anybody help me compare the specs and tell me what the main differences are?

Contrast : 1000:1 (Typ.) - I see then BenQ is much higher, how much of a difference will that make?
Response time : 5ms(Typ.) - Less response lag in games at 2ms?
Brightness : 300 cd/m2 - The BenQ is 250. Is that better or worse? Will that make a big difference?

How do these compare to the BenQ fp241W?

I have just taken delivery of one of these HD BenQ.

I have just upgraded my FP202W. The colours are so much better, everything is brighter and there is zero backlight bleed. Very sharp, and the FP202W was no slouch either!
I love this monitor! I am keeping my FP202W and I am going to mount it next to this one.

Just got mine cracking monitor for the money no dead pixels colours are displayed well and evenly no backlight bleed that i can notice i recommend this monitor cannot believe the difference between this and my old one very happy chappy right now. Was a bit worried when it arrived as all the packaging said it was an lcd but i guess they skimping on the boxes and stuff lol.

It is an LCD. The LED is just the backlight.
Its called mismarketing, BenQ, samsung and all the rest have been told off for it, but they refuse to change.

Taking delivery of 2 of these in the morning so will let you all know my thoughts, bit sceptical at first before i ordered,( lack of reviews and details)
there are a few videos on utube of Crysis and NFS Shift with this monitor and they all looked really bright and sharp. Now with the price drop as well to £150 are these the bargin everyone is saying they are. Roll on tomorrow.:D

If you have gone from 22 inch 1680x1050 to this, would you post up some pics next to each other, as i cant find any pics with side by side comparision.

As im looking to go this way, all be it only 1 monitor

Well took delivery today two of them and am a bit miffed. First one i opened was all sealed and looked like it was brand new except the screen had been wiped and you could see the wipe marks ?

Set them both up installing drivers, the settings are set over bright to start with so set both monitors to the exact same settings on the monitor OS, configured with my hd5870 so both colour profiles matched and connected via DVI. well all I can say it they both dont match colour wise. the one that seemed to have the marks on has a very slight green or blue tint to whites. The other monitor looks fine but if you spread a white page across both screen you can see how much they are out, spent a good 2hrs trying to resolve this but to no avail. Concerned now that the monitor that had the marks on the screen may have been a refurb or some kind of return. The monitor works ok but they dont match colour wise and i have tried everything resetting to default and starting again. Anybody else got more than one of these and noticed they dont match next to each other. I must admit both screens looks supperb and very colourful and bright.

Anyone got any ideas on how to make them match or is this an issue with all TN screens. If it is an issue with the screen what are the chances of an RMA picking this up as i know they test everything that is returned.

I bought one last week. £155 very well spent. Looks awesome playing cod2/cod4/cod6mw2.

Tried Crysis and Bioschock too. All on PC. Looks amazing. I bought a blue-ray drive the same day too, die hard 4 looks incredible. Stunning colours and 1080p HD.

For only £155 this is amazing. Even if it only lasts me a year i'll be happy as it's so cheap. Stand was easy to setup.

Bit of a dust magnet tho!

Update on the 2 I ordered, havent been able to match the 2 screens together so the whites are out, will just have to live with it for now, Have tested both with Crysis,Mass Effect2 and Dirt2 on my HD5870 and all I can say is brilliant. For the price you wont go wrong, ok you wont get the viweing angles but with any TN panel most are the same. The 5ms response time is about right and there is very little ghosting if any at all, FPS look superb and perform really really well The screens are really bright and crystal clear, wouldnt worry to much about lack of hdmi as you can just use an adaptor so no loss, The menu system takes some getting used to and is very fiddly to use but once set you wont need to touch them much.

Build quality is very good for the price but the bevel does show every finger print and is a major dust magnet.

They are large and my plan to add a 3rd for eyefinity may not work as i have limited space now, didnt realise they where so big, just ordered 3 wall brackets to fix them to the wall from amazon will post some pics when all set up.

Eco model has the HDMI but more expensive aswell:o

Mmm, but how does the quality etc compare.

And i've actually been looking at other screens such as the NEC EA231WMi and the Dell SP2308w which are 1080p IPS panel screens, so more expensive. Also looked at the older dell 24" screens (second hand market) - 2408wfp and 2407wfp (hc?) but am totally confused and lost now:confused::(
Some people give good reviews, some bad - i/e, ghosting, lag, response etc

And i thought IPS panels were meant to be better than TN

These obiviously edge around £300, for which i could get 2 of these Benq monitors...

Guys, I have been pretty satisfied with my G2420hdbl so far except a tiny detail I caught some minutes ago...In the WindowsXP login view, I have seen a problem on the backlight at the top-left side of the monitor and it really irritates me right now:( Though, I have done pixel tests and I dont have any dead-pixels and I have seen many photos and movies and havent experienced this kind of problem.

I m adding a print-screen, please have a look at the top-left side on the photo! I assume there is an obvious backlight problem there with these colors...
I will be more than glad if someone else can check this problem with his/her monitor and post it here coz I m considering to take it to store for asking about this...

Thanks in advance!
