I use the ACR for its accuracy, with scavanger pro, cold blooded and commando pro.
magnum with tactical knife for when i know i can get close.
UAV, care package and pavelow.
the uav is mainly to help out the rest of my team so we know where the enemy are.
care package just because it's a random drop which is sometimes really useful
 
Don't if this has happened to anyone else, I was at level 37 and after coming back to the game after a couple of weeks and now I'm at level 24? Something a bit weird has gone on. All my unlocks are still there just level is dropped quite a bit. Ta!

been cheating/glitching your levels?
same thing happened to a mate of mine, he was 69 and went down to 13 because he was that before glitching.
 
My highest killstreak is 25; though my brother got 27 twice in a row playing round mine one night - which ironically is higher than his own! Only really ever play Dom and I do actually try and get the flags!

My setup varies depending on mood, but I've all but abandoned the ACR - can't seem to drop anyone with it unless I unload the whole clip (at least it seems lol).

Currently using either the SCAR-H / M16 with tube / HGS, Final Stand, Claymore, Stuns, Scav Pro, Hardline and Commando. Use the magnum or rangers as secondary. Trying to unlock the tactical knife without much success.

Usual perks of pred, harrier and chopper gunner.

I've also tried the setup on the MW2 in 8 mins vid - SCAR-H w/tube, OMA, Danger Close and ninja. Ridiculously good fun and earnt loads of XP for the DC challenges (not unlocked DC Pro yet). Not a class to stick with though!
 
Does the care package glitch still exist in some form?
I've just come off a game where they had package after package without getting any more kills. :mad:
 
Been playing MP for a few days so far, quite like it. Has its ups and downs, I'm level 14 at the moment.

Got a bit annoyed earlier...loads of lag and host migration stuff. Game was unplayable, lagging all over the place and people dropping out. Switched to Ground War and everything was fine, had some fun Domination and TDM games! Currently using a basic setup with the SCAR and switching to SMG (UMP?) for more close-quarter games.

I accept that it has its flaws, but there is so much to be done in MP that I think IW have pulled it off... I can and probably will spend hours unlocking all the weapons, attachments, skins and completing all the challenges. It gives you something to do, and allows you to experiment with all kinds of setups.

If anyone has any tips for a newbie (not new to the series, just to the console) then please share them! :D

p.s. I'm on PS3, and what I keep accidently clicking my analog button and knifing, thus interrupting my shooting/movement. Really annoying, has anyone else had a similar problem or is it something I just need to get used to?

Try swapping your knife button to one of the face buttons.I swapped it with the run button so now B(i'm on the 360) is knife and clicking in the stick runs.
I also recommend using hardline when you get it.So much better for killstreaks! And I would use the UMP45 as it's a great gun:D

I've been playing it for ages and I still can't stop doing that occasionally even on the 360 where the stick button is much harder :o
 
my highest streak is 39 and my kill/death ratio is 2.0 :)
