You can tell the boss is a woman when...

Womanly behaviour? We get this kind of behaviour from the MD's son who is being 'trained up'.

A woman is mentioned and no-one asks for pics?
This is OcUK General Discussion? Right?

Have you ever met a female boss that you would post a pic on the t'internet to impress the lads?

Women in power are not exactly what you may call pleasing on the eye.

Well today I phoned in to say that I was going to be late because my mum rushed my dad into A and E so I had to be at home to look after my 3 year old niece. She phoned me at 12 (I said I wasn't going to be in till at least 1) and started having a go at me down the phone telling me to get my butt into work now.
I got in at about 1:10 (U know what A and E is like). Then 30 mins later she starts telling me that she left a bottle of wine open in the fridge 4 months ago to catch me out and why didn't I throw it away?
I told her I was sure that I only opened one not that long ago and then she she tells me that its no wonder that she wants to get rid of me.
I then look on my rota for next week and I have no shifts :(

Ok, got it.

What do you want to do? Gut reaction and all that.

Kick her in the shin for being heartless about the fact my Dad had an accident :D
And then call her lazy for not throwing away a manky bottle of wine :D

Wait I remember this from school... girl refuses to talk to you? It can only mean one thing, get your man hammer and go to Greggs.

You **** her off by making a mistake and in a fantastically professional manner she chooses to go in the huff with you and not speak to you :p

Had a bit of a slip up with one of my deadlines (got dates wrong) with left me and the boss looking somewhat silly to her superior. I got a (deserved) slapped wrist for the mistake but since then she has refused to speak to me :D I am normally bob on with everything I do in my job, got the staff well trained and I (probably) run the best department in our area and have never had a single cross word otherwise with my boss in the 4 years I have been with the company.

Been a week since then and to be honest I have used it to my benefit and dossed off early every day since because I know she wont ring me and (this is where it gets really stupid) if she tries to pass a message on to me through one of the other project managers I just feign ignorance.

Its unbeleivable that in the modern day in a massive, multi-national company your boss can just stop speaking to you in the huff :D

Anyone else had something like this happen to them before? Women! :p

Good lord man!
Firstly this is normal for women they hold grudges even over somthing as trivial as this.
Secondly check your grammer!

Well actually, last time I went into work wearing open toe high heels I did get some pretty strange looks and was asked not to return until I had purchased more appropriate footware, I did get slightly annoyed about it as the women are allowed to wear such footware so why can't I.

What the hell were your wearing, flip flops?
